I am sure that the coach sees them every day and makes the decision that he thinks is the best.

I just wish that I knew why. But I will choose to trust Allegri - I will have to.

we were sleeping when inter signed Ranocchia, while we signed Papa for the same amount of money. Amelia is okay as vice GK. We lost Hernanes to Lazio, Krasic to juve. Hernanes was the man for our midfield. We still dont have a solid reserve Cb to silva and Nesta, after signed Yepes and Papa in one summer.

And what did you think about Yepes, Papa and Amelia in the beginning of this season? We already know all of them are for the bench. Papa cost only 7M €:

If 1-2M for transfering as nothing with big clubs, then Ibra, Cassano, Boateng, Amelia & Yepes are all free.

I read also Sokratis cost €5M. The previous website Aficio gives says €7. Not sure which is correct but it's not a huge deal. I did not think he was that bad in the games he played, his positioning was maybe not great but he was very aggressive, he's big and strong. Bonera is just awful in every sense. Most of all, he looks soft. He doesn't look intense as Silva and Nesta. He looks, frankly, like a scared little girl.

On another subject, could Cassano be that ACM we've been looking for?
I hope so, that would be fantastic. It would solve some issues, then Robinho would simply be the first replacement for Pato or Ibra.

Then we can use Lamela (If we decide on him), to work his way eventually in. A guy like Lazzari, Merkel, Strasser, Prince, and Flamini would then be replacements for the Senatori (Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Seedorf).

In this scenario you wouldn't need a direct Pirlo replacement if we play with a true creative ACM like Cassano/Ganso/Lamela.

I believe that Inter paid Genoa 6.5 Million for Ranocchia's first half, which means his total value is 25 million.

Boateng didn't and won't come for free, if you consider the lease payment (1 or 2m) and the half of Zigoni, Strasser, and Oduamandi. I believe that we still have to pay for him if we want to keep him in the end. I don't know if it is going to be a fixed amount or current market value.

The only true 'free' one is Yepes who was a Bosman. All others involve either lease fee or future payment.

and yes, we should count on our own youngsters. that's the foundation for long-run success.

- Genoa bought him in 2008 for 4M.
- He proved himself in 2 seasons, became fan favourite in second year.
- We gave Genoa half of Zigoni, Oduamadi & Strasser (maybe bad idea).

So 7M overall was not expensive.

I also think Cassano can solve our ACM problem though we need a very strong mid to support. Boateng is another choice for another strategy.

We are good at attack, now the mid, def and even GK need strengthen.

Boateng, initially joined Genoa from Portsmouth in the summer, before at once moving to Milan on loan, although his status is one of co-ownership with Genoa.

That means we will need less money to get him in the future. About half the value for full ownership and not much if we just need him in Milan for another season in co-ownership.

I am also aware of future payment, but for this season, it is stil great.

Thanks for all the detailed explanation.

Is it me or just that Bonera is turning into Mrs. Allegri just like how Seedorf was Mrs. Ancelotti with Carlo.

It's still too early to tell, but it seems as though through Allegri's quotes and purchases that he will want this formation in big games in the near future:

A solid hard-working defensive minded midfield and then allow Cassano to create.

We need, (and I've said this time and time again), a LEFT BACK. I also agree that Seedorf shouldn't play and while forcing him out as we did with Ronaldinho is not what we would do because of his history with us, but he should be sold while we can even get a few millions for him.

I'd also like to see Sokratis or Yepes play a little more, but perhaps they're not doing well in training?

Lastly, Cristiano Ronaldo is leading La Liga in scoring (22 Goals), and is on pace for almost 45 Goals in just the league!!! Wow, that's impressive. He and Messi literally own that league, they lead in Goals and Assists and totally dominate all competition.
