Apparently we're also close to Mexes... I'm assuming Ely and Mexes would be direct replacements for Bonera and Onyewu. Onyewu is going on loan to FC Twente, and Bonera is hopefully gone soon too.

Actually Bonera will be Onyweu's replacement as the training cone in Milanello.

Thats my fear, man. Not even Grêmio fans that I know can give details about him

I really have no reasons(but hope) to think Rodrigo will be good for us. Our last adventures with little known players not only in Brazil, but in Argentine and Uruguai were disastrous.

If it means anything, Rodrigo Ely's agent is......... the same agent as Ibra and Balotelli. Surprise surprise... if he can pick players like Ibra and Balotelli, at least it shows that he had some success in picking players...maybe Ely can turn out to be something.

I was disappointed when I first thought Ely was brought in because I thought he would be the one to take the Non-EU spot, but it seems that he's officially signed now that he has obtained his EU passport (can anyone confirm this?).

Friend from Brazil says Dinho's officially a Flamengo player.

I sometimes mistook Flamengo for Flamenco

This club really know the important of brand name like Dinho, they will get 5-6 times the profit Gremio could with him, and Galliani also know to do some business.

However, I don't know why Flamengo is the most popular when they are not the most successful in Brazil (behind Palmeiras, Santos & Sao Paolo) and not the most successful in international competitions (behind Sao Paolo, Cruizero, Santos & Internacional). As I know, Rio de Janeiro has only about 16 millions inhabitants and 3 other big clubs: Vasco da Gama, Fluminense and Botafogo.
