That being said, he is very young and should be given time to develop. He has immense potential and I believe that if he fulfills it he'll become the best striker in the world.

Everyone keeps talking about how Pato is this and that on the pitch and in the dressing room, but has anyone ever considered his mentality over the past two years? The kid is like 20 now and already he's been through a host of injuries as well as a divorce. He's been touted as the next big thing and yet misses the chance to go to a World Cup, whilst kids like Neymar and Ramires got the nod ahead of him instead. Think of what that could do to ones emotional psyche.
You can all say how "as a professional" you should leave all your problems off the pitch, but lets face it, he's 20! In some countries he's barely able to smoke or drink. Do you really expect him to be able to handle that kind of baggage like a mature 30 or 40 year old? I think not. He may be relying on his Talent a bit too much, and have all the help of Milan Lab to improve on his physical side, but I think emotionally and mentally, he may still be recovering from a lot of other crap. Sheva touts him as his successor, I tend to agree. Sheva never really had to track back much, just to carry the line and score goals. Its just because formations have changed so drastically since the Ancellotti days that the need for everyone to track back has now been deemed a necesscity instead of a mere formality. The kid is playing catch-up, but it doesn't mean he's not improving. I have seen him track back before, its not his fault he can't push most italian defenders to the floor with his relatively lightweight physique.

First of all, Pato is currently one of the top 10strikers in the world. If you can name 10 strikers better, be my guess. What more can you want from a 21 yrs old?
Secondly, he is a striker, he does not need to track back, beside, if guys like Dinho and Seedorf don't track back, why should Pato do it. Thirdly, Robinho and Cassano are in great forms at the moment, but they do have problems too, Robinho with his finishing and Cassano with his time bomb mentality. Thus they are not perfect and better than Pato, also, they played in a position that needs to track back. Forthly, while nobody but Ibra could create any chances and scores against Lecce, why is Pato being singled out. and I don't see Pato being praised for scoring two goals, one extremely tough one against Udin? Fifthly, Pippo can't pass, can't dribble and does not track back, on top of that, he always get caught offside on purpose, but he scores and we love him. While Pato is playing out of position, and learning to make better decisions with the ball, but he scores and a lot off people says thats not enough. Lastly, he is only 21 and is already established himself as one of the top strikers in the world and the starting striker for Brazil. |

I firmly believe that the problem is mental than technical/physical.... Allegri should be the guy addressing this situation but somehow he doesn't seem like that kind of a guy. He's just a guy blessed with a very harmonious dressing room. But then again it's not like i drink with him every evening and know him in and out... Give Pato re-assurance, making him realise what a great learning chance this is.Ibra/Cassano wont last forever... Pato has another good ten years for Milan...it will really be a pity if pato couldn't learn anything from Ibrahimovic/Cassano..... Off late does pato seem arrogant to anybody else ? Or is it just having a bad hair day ? |

According to the newspaper De Telegraaf Emanuelson is already a Milan player
The Rossoneri have reached an agreement with the player, which should arrive in Milan in June. Ariedo Braida, however, is in the Netherlands to deal with the immediate transfer of a player maybe paying a small fee |

Urby Emanuelson from Wikipedia
When Marco van Basten took over as club coach in 2008–09, Emanuelson began on the left back position. But later, after numerous of disappointing matches and bad defending, Emanuelson was placed as left midfielder or left winger, letting him focus more on attacking play than defensive. Now, Emanuelson primarily plays as a left midfielder because of his weak defending abilities. He has since flourished in his new role on the left wing, frequently making runs and assisting from the flanks while scoring goals himself. |

![]() He's a decent young player that could have a big futre if we are lucky. Exactly the same problems as Coentrao, not a natural defender so any mistake will be highlighted. There is a real lack of genuinely good fullbacks. So Urby is worth a shot as much as Ziegler.

Emanuelson... Another cheap average solution that will contribute as much as Yepes, Oddo, Papa, Onyewu?
I see he's described as a starlet which should suggest he's a young potential star. He's 24, he really should be more than just a talent? Hopefully he can convince us if he was to arrive... |

If Emanuelson is in Milan to play as Left mid or left wing, like Serginho, then fine. If he is in Milan to play as a LB, then Milan's scouts are pure crap.

We have already decent backups for fullback positions: Zambrotta, Antonini, Oddo and Bonera. So we need a first team fullback, not AGAIN a backup fullback!
