We had a much improved second half and the victory was deserved in the end. despite missing many scoring opportunities, Robinho in my book was the most important player today and did very well linking up the entire team. I feel that Allegri was trying him in Pirlo's role, and it seemed to work well. The other great player today was Yepes. You could see him everywhere and dominating. the absence of Nesta wasn't felt, and even Papa did a solid job, particularly in clearing Bogdani's chance. Ibrahimovic was his old mighty self and in the end goal did arrive to his joy. Cassano was cool as cucumber in front of the penalty box, and his combination with Ibrahimovic works seamlessly. Antonini had a disastrous first half but fantastic second half. The only down point was perhaps to see Pato still lacks chemistry with teammates which showed even in the limited minutes he was given today. Merkel wasn't great either, but that was understandable.

Bad news: Nesta is out for 2-3 months with a dislocated shoulder (milannews.it).

wow, a dislocated shoulder takes that long to come back? I thought it would be just one or two weeks.

Ibra cannot score ugly goals nowadays while I doubt Robinho can even score in front of an empty goal. But his work rate and linking the play is laudable. Antonini needs to time his run. He spent more time in opponent's area than Merkel in the 2nd half.

A solid if unspectacular win tonight with several pleasing surprises from those who don't get to play very often. It's a shame if the report about Nesta's injury is true.

Milannews now report there was no fractuce and there will not be a need for surgery.... they believe it'll take 2-3 weeks.

If Robinho's role is not to score goals (according to him), then why the hell does he shoots so much.

that was frustrating in the first half, but we really pushed when needed. this is a tough team to play against so they can definitely take many positives out of it.

Will Ibra be rested for the game against samp? They have no pazzini

LOL dude come on, be realistic. Pato was running like possessed, trying to put pressure on Cesena's defence when they had the ball. He worked really hard trying to help the team keep the scoreline.

We should use Pato as CF, end of story.

The sub was late, cassano needed to be off much earlier (he had a solid game). what else could Pato have done! i'd be upset too

i wont critisize robinho because other then his finishing hes been stellar.. dribbling pased defenders, linking up with cassano and ibra and finally i think cassano was that missing link from our midfield to our forwards

Oh yes! The Cassano - Binho - Ibra trio is really something, a real pleasure to watch.
Cassano is the creative force we have been missing. Binho... I don't care if he misses those chances till the end of the season, as long as he keeps doing what he does.
Ibra - our clinical deadly god.
