It's been long time I wrote something here, and this winter mercato has been brilliant.

Honestly, I was against Galliani, I thought he was the one who's guilty for our financial situation, and he really was guilty, but the things he's been doing since last summer are... MAGIC.

It's not the money from Berlusconi, well it is, but it's Galliani who's making this amazing transfers.

First, we've got Ibra, when everyone was expecting and asking to go for Dzeko, 40-50 M euros, Galliani pulls an equally good goalscorer and brilliant team player, by now probably the best player in the world, for just 24 M. OK, he paid a fair amount of money for Robinho, but then he makes another brilliant move and brings Cassano for just 4M. Cassano, who's one of the best ball players in the world and one of the best passers of the ball (probably down only to Ronaldinho and Totti).

And now, he brought Van Bommel, who's exactly the player we need, DMF with great distribution of the ball, so we can play Pirlo higher. I think this was the thing that was missing since we won our last CL, as Pirlo lost his energy, and more important , people around him (Seedorf, Gattuso) lost their energy, so he became liability at deep position and he can't use his passing properly there anyway. Though, Van Bommel is slow and old, but he'll use until summer as I'm sure Allegri has someone in mind for that position already. Then, Galliani took Didac Vila, a left-footed side back (finally!) we didn't had in years, for just 4M, and I've been reading some comments from Espanyol fans lately and they are crying for Vila been sold for under 10 M, they just can't believe.

But, then, Galliani is not the only one who "guilty" for all the great things that happened. Allegri should be credited too. His charisma is really brilliant. When he came last summer, he said he's happy with what he has, but now, little by little, he wants this, he wants that, and he's succeeding in his demands! I think he will be the successor of greatness of Sacchi and Capello in Milanelo.

To summarize, Milan is back finally, we have great coach, we have a younger squad, deep squad, and now we can build a really strong first 11 all of the players under 30's, bar center back and deep midfielder. It's too optimistic to say we can become the best team in the world this year, though we ARE the best in Italy now for sure, but the next year... who knows. The attacking midfielder (if I'm right), Lucas, looks amazing, with out-of-earth acceleration, he reminds on Kaka a lot. And I'm reading he will came in the summer for just 4 M. Somebody better wake me up.

I think that helps when the coach knows what he wants and needs ...
Credit can also be given to Allegri who probably gave good instructions to Galliani on the type of player he wanted, and then, of course, Galliani just proved to all of us that he's not the useless guy we used to think he was in the last few years, he did an amazing job and I'm now excited to be the next summer (after our wins in Serie A and one between CL and Italian Cup ) just to see what he will do ...

Allegri blends into Milan's system so well, even Ancelotti couldn't have his say like him. We have a coach who really know how his job should be done better.

Lucas possesses great nature talent, I hope we sign him fast and train him to be a true professional, a real man. So I think even if we can't play him, having him train with the team now is a better option.

Lucas signed for Milan but where have you seen him play except on youtube?I would really like to know that because I would like to watch him....I must say I'm a little bit skeptic on this transfer especially if brasilian rumors are true and we are in pole to sign Ganso.....

With Van Bommel we've got an excellent back-up for our midfield,Emanuelson is versatile as he can play both defence and midfield positions so we are starting to gain width in our team (a little less worries about injuries of key players)...

Please can someone tell me something more about Didac Vila?Is he good?It's weird that we bought him before Real Madrid or Barca....

With Van Bommel we've got an excellent back-up for our midfield,Emanuelson is versatile as he can play both defence and midfield positions so we are starting to gain width in our team (a little less worries about injuries of key players)...

Physical abilities are not the skills you can train to be the world best. Everyone can run, but none can run like Ursan Bolt. Those belongs to what I called "nature talent". Lucas' acceleration & quick sense amaze me, though it was only on Youtube. With more tactical knowledge (can be trained), he could become a great one.

And IMO, having both him and Ganso is not a problem because their playing styles are different. The only problem is Ganso is now injured and his recovering is in observing.

Regarding Vila, Espanyol is Barca's rival and Real have enough LBs: (Marcelo, Alberloa).

Liverpool officially reported that Torres asked to be sold ... but they refused because he has a contract until 2013. So Fernando Torres will be available this summer, and that's maybe something good for us: while Barcelona and Real Madrid will be busy, trying to sign Torres, they will let Pato in Milan !!

Yeah I know, Ganso's injury is a problem right now,but still I don't think Lucas will play if Seedorf,Ambrosini and Van Bommel don't leave the team in the summer.And what about Strasser and Merkel.they have shown quite an impression especially Merkel against Sampdoria...

IMO,

Robinho is the closest to Lucas as they both have the energy & quickness, and have the same height (1m72).

For Seedorf, we have Urby & Merkel to replace.

DM is a crucial position, so Strasser should wait a bit more. Ambro is captain so he will remain, but Bommel will return to Holland (or search new challenge in England) if Milan win the Scudetto (he was champion in Holland, Spain & Germany). Flamini is quite injury-prone now. So the chance for Straser is still great.

Merkel is ideal replacement for Seedorf, if he improves and matures his game quickly, he can improve on dribbling and shooting ability more. However Merkel runs a lot more than Seedorf, his game more disciplined, his defending is better, he has continuity (i think one of Seedorf's main problem was his contunity, he alwasy inconsistent) Merkel's movement to box and on the field is just amazing, his passing too. if Merkel matures and improves quickly, i can see a great replacement in Merkel for Seedorf.

Pure DM's are old fashion, i think we should sign someone like Jucilei for midfield, who can be a great box to box, if our all midfielders (i mean midfield trio) box to box, we wont have much problem in midfield, all of them can defend and attack at the same time, pressing up. Jucilei instead Van Bommel would be nice move...

i like Sirugu much better than Marchetti, Marchetti is a good gk and however i want milan to sign Handanovic or Sirugu cuz i think they are both better gks than Marchetti.

Having mids like Merkel & Strasser in the youth shows Stroppa et all are doing a good job, as they are not one-dimensional.

I'd give Donnarumma a chance before we start grabbing any keepers for now.
Maybe get an option on Sirigu and use Marchetti as bait.

Unless Juciliei has an EU passport he'll be going somewhere else esp if we get Lucas, unless we loan him out to another smaller team to blood him for a year, which wouldn't be a bad idea esp if we get Ganso too.

Why are you talking about signing goalkeepers?!Abbiati and Amelia are much better than Marchetti or Sirigu...

Aficio I respect your opinion but I'm now even more sure that Lucas's aquisition was not needed...closest to Robinho?I believe that Robinho's subtitute is Cassano or even Ganso(on AM position if rumors are true)I am very skeptical but I hope I'm wrong about this...

I completely agree about Merkel,IMO he can play all positions in midfield...

im not sure if he is better than Sirigu.. but yeah, although Abbiati cant kick AT ALL, he has been a man possessed this year, and deserves to be a starter again next year.
