FAM applauds Ministry's effort to bring top clubs.
8th November 2001 - Football Association of Malaysia applauds Youth and Sports Ministry's effort to bring six top clubs to play in Malaysia, next year. FAM Vice President, Datuk Raja Ahmad Zainuddin Raja Omar, said that the national body really appreciates the efforts that will also help to promote football in the country. "We are thankful by the efforts of the Government, through the Youth and Sports Ministry, to bring elite clubs like Bayern Munich, Barcelona, AC Milan, River Plate, Sao Paulo and Lyon to Malaysia. "This will not only promote football and give opportunity to our fans to see good and quality matches, but can also help attract tourists to our country," said Datuk Raja Ahmad Zainuddin after chairing the FAM's Competition Committee meeting. The idea of bringing the six renowned clubs in the world was revealed by Youth and Sports Deputy Minister, Dato' Ong Tee Keat in parliament, yesterday. ...................................... wow wow wow! my dream may come true to see milan in action in malaysia! jika benar2 terjadi, agak sayang juga tahun depan kan WC, jika depa datang pada may, then I don't think depa akan hantar squad utama. |

I hope so......tapi semasa tahun 1994 juga terdapat beberapa club ternama yg datang ke malaysia (BM, Leeds, Flamengo etc) tapi hanya second choice players yg depa hantar.
