The problem is, even the 5 cheapest players of the ones you mentioned, will still cost a fortune, especially if Milan buys them. Everyone in the world is aware of Milan's desperate need of new players, so everyone will try to rob Berlu if they see he's interested in some of their players ! |

This really is a horrible season... we just cannot find the net... 11 goal in 12 matches? I do not think Milan has ever been that poor since I started supporting them in 1989.
Defensively I think we were better today, but offensively we are lacking something. Okay, we have been unlucky, but play is not the normal Milan as we know them. Gilardino does not get the crosses he need, Kaka played in another game tonight, Oliveira is still adapting to Italian football. Pirlo looks like a player who needs a break, while Seedorf seems to slow down our play with all his touches... I still hope we can get this 4th spot, but it is getting more and more difficult with these poor results. Maybe we can get some confindence in Athens on Tuesday - I hope... !!

are both Pirlo & Gilardino gearin' up themselves to star in the latest Hollywood blockbuster "Invisible Men"? with the performances they both shown so far this season... they sure are the top candidates to be the leadin' actors...

Pirlo is struggling because there is zero movement around him.

My point was they'll all cost a lot. Look at the 3 attackers you proposed. Valencia is asking for 26 M Euro for Villa, Torres will cost even more, and i'm sure Huntelaar will also cost over 15 M. Don't forget that Milan won't be the only team interested in them, so it will only make their prize higher........ so, minimum 25 M for an attacker, Villa from Valencia ! GK : Buffon costs minimum 30 M now, and with Juve in A, his prize may go up to 35 M......Amelia will come cheaper, but i doubt it will be less than 8-9 M Euro......so, lets say Amelia for 8 M, which is a minimum. Def : RB in so much needed in Milan, and i'd like to see a team that will buy Alves for less than 15 M Euro..... i'll count 15 M for Alves in Milan, although i very much doubt it will happen. DL : Abidal's prize is set to 20 M if i'm not wrong. Juventus is interested in him, but Lyon won't sell him for less than 20 M as they say.......i'll take out 5 M from the 20, and i'll say 15 M for him. DC : One DC is enough......Juve's 15 M offer for Barzagli is rejected, so i doubt Milan's potential offer less than 15 M will be accepted.... But even if it is accepted, the minimum here is 15 M So, minimum 80 M Euro is needed for these 5 players : Villa, Amelia, Alves, Barzagli, Abidal. It's the minimum i say, and 100 M is much more realistic. All these players are classy ones, and they may prove to be a jack-pot for Milan. But tell me if u know an Italian team not named Inter, splashing 100 M in one transfer window ? And even more what's the guarantee Villa and Alves will be a success ( let me remind you of the last 3 players in Milan who came from Spain - Jose Mari, Javi Moreno and Rivaldo) ? Is Barzagli so much better than Kaladze or Nesta ( he ain't proven on top level i must remind u, and he may be another Legrotiagle) ? Is Amelia better than Dida ? ....Abidal is fine ![]() And at the end : Lets assume Chelsea and Real make an offer for these players. I'm sure their offer will be much higher than Milan's , and if Milan still wants to buy them, then we'll have to make it more than 100 M for these players ! GL |

Sweinsteiger would cost around 20mil rosoneri_11 and would never move out of germany so i think you can call that imposible and he is a winger but now if he did move and we got J. Cole also now that would be a great move for Milan anyone agree

Width was a problem, as our best attacking moves came when Cafu was on the wing down the right (not to say Cafu was great by any means, but at least he was going forward). Marek was just confusing me today, as rather than support out wide, he'd cut in and play there, which doesn't do anything but make our play very narrow and easy to defend against. However, Seedorf for me was our biggest issue today. Most atttacking moves go through him and almost every single one halts for a minute or two at the halfway line as he holds the ball. This really made it easy for Empoli who simply got numbers behind the ball and pressed us. Overall, the team was a little unlucky (Oliveira was very good today and very unfortunate), but must accept they're still failing to get the right balance in the play. Dida and Maldini were very good overall today, very solid despite minor errors. Billy struggled a little at times, but still competent especially compared to recent games by our defence. Cafu pushed forward, but ultimately still lacks the effect he had previous years whilst Marek for me was disappointing. Pirlo was atrocious by his standards, but can't take too much blame if those around him weren't working well and at least he tried to create opportunities. Brocchi wasn't bad, but not too brilliant imo, whilst Kaka and Gila were invisible, though Kaka seemed a little fatigued more than anything. We're still not working as a unit, as today the team seemed unsure of how to move and work, ending in sloppy and slow build up without any structure. Kaka gets very little support between the midfield and attack (a lot of the time only Oliveira supported him) and Gila gets no service, so how are we expecting to produce the goods? Generally speaking, the team aren't working for each other well enough, as they need to find positions and open spaces for the player on the ball. They don't make the right runs and this makes it difficult for others to stretch the opponents. An example I remember was Seedorf and Janku, as the ball was out wide on the left around the halfway line, Marek passed into Seedorf and then just stood still. What's the point of standing there when nothing can come out of it. Seedorf then rather than looking to get out of that tight spot, which could have been done by passing in field to Pirlo who was in space, he decides to pass back out to Marek, who has 2 players nearby and little he can do other than pass back to Maldini, thus making the whole move start again. The team needs work and really they have to work for each other more. FORZA MILAN!!!!!!! |

ACMILAN1983 thats one of the first real good posts I have read on this forum for a long time.
Not sure about Pirlo needing others to create though. If you meant he needs players around him to make runs then I agree. I completely agree with the rest. Our system was dependent on Cafu's overlapping runs. When he got injured, Serghinio did the same thing even better. Unfortunately, we cant rely on either at this time. I totally agree about Seedorf, he is playing a completely absurd game constantly slowing things down, not sticking to the left. I dont know if its the number 10 shirt, but hes really on a Zidane trip. Unless he starts playing box to box from the left again he needs to be dropped. Gourcuff and Brocchi would provide Pirlo with some "legs" around him and the strikers would get more service. Oliveira's gradual improvement will help things a great deal. The problem is Carlo has always trusted his core players, which Seedorf has always been. In the past he has always at least played according to the system even if his form does dip. But now he is just playing in a totally different way and Carlo needs to trust Gourcuff to show him how he used to play ie quick pass and move which Gourcuff does brilliantly.

Ancelotti:
“In my opinion, the side played fairly well and we didn’t allow our opponents any real scoring opportunities,” he said after the 0-0 draw at the Stadio Castellani. “It was overall a small step forward and in the second half we could’ve done better upfront, but a draw is an acceptable result.” are we Lecce now? im sorry but, in whatever crisis ur in.. an draw against empoli is not acceptable.. even if u hit the woodwork twice.. still Forza Milan... funny how in CL we actually can score, and play good games. or is it cuz of kaka? who seems to play his HEART OUT in european games and vanishes in Italy. |

Iv been holding this one back for a while, but I cant resist.
This season reminds me of Liverpool's CL win where they were awful in the league and excellent in the CL. They to didnt really have a striker on fire. I cant see us doing the same and winning the CL, but heres to hoping ![]()
