Magath Does Not Fear Inter

The Bayern coach would have been more concerned if the German side were facing Milan.

Felix Magath laughed off Inter’s challenge for tonight’s Champions League encounter, stating that the Nerazzurri are not a team as much as Milan are.

“We don’t have the obligation to win, having already defeated Spartak Moscow in the first match. We are calm, the pressure will be all for Inter.

“Milan would give us more concern, they have squad mechanisms which are automatic now. Inter instead, even though they have strengthened the squad from last season with the new purchases, it’s still not a gelled squad.

“That’s why we don’t fear them and on the contrary, we shall try to take advantage of this.”

Bayern Munich won the first match 4-0 against Spartak Moscow, whereas Inter lost 1-0 against Sporting Lisbon.

I really don't see why on Earth Maggath would fear Inter, even if they had a full squad, let alone when they are missing their two best CM - Cambiasso and Vieira.
With these two out, I really don't see Inter gaining control of the game unless Bayern are stupid enough to play too defensively and let them do so. I personally expect to see Inter miss the link between defense and attack and revert to desperate long balls into Bayern's PA in hope that one of them happily lands on Ibrta's foot or Crespo's head.

We had many chances to score but didn't take them, it's true that we had a regular goal disallowed but vs teams as Lille we have to win home and away.
In many occassions they where all defending, but Ancelotti f***** it all with the substitutions leaving the team with 1 striker. Vs such teams you have to put more weight up front.

There's too many coaches who are Milan fans. That Ancelotti's problem.

I presume that the reason why you would want 2 forwards is that Milan creates more chances by having more people up front ... yet, you say that we created many chances but didn't take them.
Obviously, X-tree didn't inhibit us in creating chances and it was just that the players missed them all ... something for which there is no guarantee that it won't happen with 2 men up front instead of 1.
At the same time, with 2 strikers against a pacey team like Lille - which uses wing play a lot - not enough men in midfield to stiffle their attacks, could have well resulted in them hitting us and scoring on the counter. Or they could have simply made life difficult for our midfielders and thus preventing them from creating/setting up chances for our forwards. What good are 2 or even 3 strikers if they are more isolated from the play and lack chances to score?

I watched the game against Lille ,and you guys have right Ambrosini and Gattuso partnership dosn't work , playing with 2 strikers could be more efective ( Oliveira/Pipo in first squad for Ambro ) and our usual formation 4-3-1-2 . Dida was great saving some danger shoots from Lille players , a player that really coused trouble to our defence was Keita i think ..

Maybe Carlo didn't want to risk in this game playing with 2 strikers and play with 4-3-1-2 against Anderlecht in San Siro which game is very immportant and i'm expecting Milan to win this one , and hold the lead in our group.
