MU is still not reaching any kind of form that we should be worried about. some players are carrying the team along but with the recent injuries, MU is back to zero. whereas milan pick up from where they left off before the break, demolishing lecce. seriously MU should have ten times more reasons to worry about us than we have about them so let's just enjoy the games. the party has just started, let us just kick juve back to where they belong first.

i said "might", its not certain yet

It could even be one of Fergies mind games, Milan will train to face a deep striker like Smith or Rooney and then suddenly Ruud will walk out instead

Milan have had a nice little holiday and played as expected really

Im more worried about how Utd play at the moment, 4 games in 9 days has taken a lot of energy, particularly for Smith as a lone striker. A small break for FA Cup and then Liverpool at Anfield next weekend

this wont really matter much in 2 months though, im sure there will be plenty of developments between now and then

I have very high hopes for this match, which has all indications of being a classic. (If the pre-season friendly in New York is any indication, then it has the potential of being an all time great match up).

While Milan are currently riding a wave of excellent form, and Man U seem to be a little off key at the moment, Feb 22 (if I remember correctly) is some time away yet, and in the interim, Fergie could pull out one of his usual revivals, and ensure that Man U are sharp come the visit of the Rosseneri.

What is clearly apparent as far as Man U are concerned is that Fergie:
through injury,
or the dip in form to key players,
or fatigue,
or (which I doubt) a misunderstanding of his message,
(or a combination of all?) clearly cant find 11 players with any consistency to ensure the results that would at least keep them in the title hunt.

Their recent impressive climb to third in the tables seems to be a gloss over some major imperfections that became visible in pre-season, and resulted in their alarming stutter-start to the current domestic campaign.

His recent youth selections are a ways away from duplicating the awesome talent posessed by the Arsenal trio of van Persie, Fabregas and Flamini. (Not to mention the new centre back with the funny name that seems to be an excellent player). Though Man U won the "battle of the youth teams" in the FA Cup(?) recently, the more important aspect, their ability to integrate into the senior squad cannot compare to the ease with which Arsenal´s youth products have.

Now would be the perfect time to meet the English giants, with doubt beginning to creep into the younger players minds, and frustration mounting in the minds of the older players. Alas, we have a couple months to go, and because that can represent an eternity in the football world, we never know what kind of Man U we will face.

If Milan continue to play the way we have been, and with JDT back, and Stam and Pipo soon to follow, Milan will be even stronger, with Carlo spoiled for choice for strikers and midfield and even in defense. Should I additionally mention the fact that our recent aquisitions are proving their worth? Not a nice proposition if you are a Man U fan.

The world of football however is governed by a most fickle sovreign, and her name is Lady Luck. She can spare players from injury, or rule them out for entire seasons, can smile on you on one day, and completely desert you the next.

An excellent team spirit in tandem with sound collective intelligence usually prevails however, and the more I see Milan play, the more I believe that we are the real thing!

Fear is a rapidly diminishing emotion in my heart when I watch Milan play, and the depth of our squad very reassuring indeed.

A lot can change between now and the next UCL matchday, but if current trends stay true till then, what is definately assured is that the game will be unforgettable for fans and neutrals alike.Though for the set of fans from the north of England it will be an unforgettable day of sorrow and embarrassment, while for those fans from the north of Italy, it will be a day to remember forever.

thats true enough, and it is mainly injury that has caused the problems. When everyone is fit Utds strongest XI would almost pick itself (according to which tactics are used) the only persistant doubt is over who plays in goal. At the moment its Carroll though Howard will probably play in the cup game, as for the rest it would most likely be:

Neville-----Rio---------Silvestre-------Heinze

Ronaldo*---Keane----Scholes*--------Giggs*

------Rooney*------------------------------

-------------------RvN---------------------

* = interchangeable

Senderos maybe? of those 4 players only Fabregas has truely shone, the others are all very much squad players. Compare them to Utds top 4 youngsters: Rooney, Ronaldo, Fletcher, Spector.....Fergie isnt doing too badly

The problem for Utd is not the youngsters, who are all talented enough for the highest level. Instead it is the slightly older squad players who have let the side down, Djemba, Kleberson, Miller etc were brought in as near finished articles but have proven inadequate when the going gets tough.

As for the actual game, I believe the clash at Old Trafford will be the one who settles it. I have no doubts Milan will win at San Siro, the only question is if Milan can handle United in England. If Crespo can only keep up his recent form I think Uniteds weak defense will have huge problems stopping the terrible tripple. Kaká-Sheva-Crespo.
One battle that'll be a lot of fun to watch is the one between Gattuso and Scholes/Keane. Pirlo, stay away from that one.
Actually, if you compare the line-ups, I'll have to admit that, there's only three United-players I would like to have in Milan for the moment. That is Scholes, Van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo. Possibly Rooney. No one ells fits in at San Siro right now...

Yeah ... we all know how true that is. You spoke too soon otherwise I would've got you by the balls. Alice is just playing mind games and keeping us guessing. I am pretty sure that RVN and Giggs will start the game at OT. It is Alice' last chance saloon this season as the EPL is as good as gone and the FA Cup is not enough for a club as hungry as United.

Shrek and Donkey will start. I have no doubts at this time.

it is very confusing when some people's 'WE' or 'US' are not Milan. like "we are out of shape", "our goalies are pathetic", "referee or linesman didn't help us", "we are the best in europe"

may i please suggest the MANU fans use "we" or "us" for ManU only in that certain thread (ManU supporter thread, and non-MU fans don't have to go there).

this MM means MilanMania, not ManuMania, when ManU is being mentioned in the forum, please kindly use the term "ManU".
