On top of the World!!!!!!!!!!!!! We've achieved our 3rd objective for this season!!!!! Excellent display of football today and Boca simply weren't capable of producing a challenge. We looked hungry and dominated, but we oozed class in fluid, attacking play.

The first half wasn't bad, we had the odd chance and Pippo scored a good goal to put us ahead with excellent work from Kaka, but we did poor on the boca goal, losing concentration on the quick corner and Bonera lost his man far too easily.

The second half was a great display from the players, Kaka was simply ruthless with Boca, and they didn't know what to do with him. Nesta scored a good goal with Pirlo putting in a smart freekick (similar to how Maldini scored in CL 2005 final) but with Ambro's mis-hit, Nesta kept cool, controlled and volleyed superbly. After that we took complete control and Kaka's goal came at a good time (after Boca hit the post), with another fantastic run and cool finish. Finally we round off the scoring with a great counter with Seedorf, Kaka and finally Pippo scoring. Again the only fault was our defending of a corner where a panic resulted in an Ambro own goal. However, despite the red cards (both had studs showing and were dangerous), the match was ended comfortably with us killing off the game.

Players..

Dida - Excellent, made some good saves but more importantly well positioned
Bonera - not much going forward and a mistake on the first goal by boca, but solid otherwise
Nesta - Excellent, and a fantastic goal. He can consider himself a WC final hero!
Kala - Did well until the red card, that was a poor challenge.
Maldini - Epitomizes what it means to be a captain, he lead by example, always fighting, showing desire and skill and playing through injury. The man is indescribable.
Gattuso - Worked hard and got injured due to it, but his contribution was important and deserves to be highly complimented
Pirlo - Never looked in trouble and he made some fantastic passes, the guy was superb
Ambro - A wall in midfield, did well despite the OG
Seedorf - Showed a lot of skill and linked well with Kaka (as always)
Kaka - He wasn't performing too well of late but this tournament he stepped up big and none moreso than today. Simply incredible and unstoppable.
Pippo - He doesn't do it often but it can't be denied he turns SuperPippo in the biggest games!!
Emerson - Filled in superbly for Rino
Brocchi - Solid and made the odd threatening attack
Cafu - A lucky charm, considering after the red card with him on the field it was very easy to adjust quickly. He should have had an assist had Kaka's heading been better

This was a great game, we played good football and we showed class. We deserved to win and in reality few mistakes were made by anyone (except on corners). I was impressed by Ever Banega, he's good technically and has excellent vision, a definite long term replacement for Pirlo in the making.

Mrki, I totally agree with you, why would anyone want to leave this great club. Barcelona say they are more than a club. MILAN is a close FAMILY. Why would Kaka want to leave this cohesion for that madness in Madrid.
Will any player in world history ever have a year like Kaka in 2007? I hope this guy stays.
What about the Captain? I'm speechless. I have to admit I shed a tear seeing this is one of the few last trophies he will lift for Milan. Total Respect. Even Platini was just shaking his head while talking to him. How many more adjectives are there to describe Paolo?

A simply FANTASTIC, OUTSTANDING, positively ANTHOLOGICAL display of football by AC Milan on the second half; in fact, one of the best performances I've see from a Milan side in years: the midfield was sheer perfection, the retaguard very solid and the attacking manouevres deadly effective. There's nothing I can add about geniuses like Kaká and Seedorf, or about living legends like Maldini or Pippo, so I guess I should something about Gattuso:

Lord have mercy, man, you did splendid, stratospherically well on our third goal, with a marvellous assist and a great vision of the game. Bravo, Rino, you showed today that your football is not only about heart, muscles and guts, but also about technical awareness and intelligence!!!

We wore our maglia fortuna and it's snowing like a mother in Toronto. A beautiful morning in my eyes. Grazie ragazzi for..god, well a fantastic game and great show of spirit and skill. Though the goals came from the obvious sources (at Milan defenders scoring is normal yes?) can proudly say this was a united effort, a team-win and the boys should be very pleased with their accomplishment.

I got to watch Capitano lift two major trophies in one year. Lucky tifosa I am.

Congrats guys Boca are no pushovers....they are a fantastic team and our boys did us so proud I love you all ....just wish Ronnie could have been part of the party too
