Totally agree. There's no better player in the world today. He's the best, by far. Amazing first half hattrick against Arsenal so far tonight.

The thing about the wingbacks is that......we might actually have a world class one in our team. One that also happens to be world class as a CB too.......Thiago Silva. I am absolutely positive he can play as a RB and do it very very very well. So if we can buy a CB that can step in and play (Bonucci) then we can have a backline of Antonini?-Bonucci-Nesta-Silva.....obviously we can rotate and rest Nesta by putting Silva in the center and then playing either Zambrotta, Antonini, etc on the right.

Barcelona are a greater club than Milan, there is no way a Barca icon like Messi will become a Milan player unless by some strange mishap he suddenly drops form like what happened with Ronaldinho.

I always laugh when I see Milan linked with big players of other European giants, like when we were linked to Puyol, Torres, Drogba and even Ramos.

I think Silva can be a very good DM, too However, let him settle in CB is the best because there is the heart of defense. We still have winger to support attack.

Barcelona is not a greater club then Milan. They have been a BETTER club in the past few years........but there is no way that they are a greater club then Milan. As a matter of fact they can only dream of having the European success that Milan has had in the past 20 years.

Having said that......there is absolutely no chance that we can even dream about Messi.

Altintop (CM/RM, 27), Joe Cole (28), Petrov (LW, 31), Kim Källström (27), Simplicio (CM/AM 30), Taddei (AMC/R 30), Santana (AMC/R 28).

They can be subs for Dinho, Seedorf & Pato.

Källström and Cole are the best options as they can play at all positions in midfield and both have the class, but their clubs will try to extend the contract before us.

We should take Simplicio, he's a great player, not too old and REALLY can play in every position in midfield. He's an AM who can play DM without ANY problems, as he has combination of attacking and defensive intelligence hard to find nowdays and great work-rate. Also, strong, pretty quick, good with the ball at his feet, and solid passer too. A true box-to-box, if you like it that way. He would be almost perfect for Seedorf's position, and still he comes free. With him alongside Flamini and Pirlo, we would find good balance of power and speed in midfield.

For J. Cole, I don't agree, the only position he really can excel is winger position.

Those first 20-25 metre sprints are what's been missing from Dinho, and sadly he won't regain it. But thank goodness the world still has Messi. What a joy to watch, this guy is almost too good to be true.

Simone Inzaghi and John Carew could also scored 4 goals in one UCL game, but theirs don't stand a chance against those scored by Messi tonight.

Where were our scouts when this kid was still playing in his hometown? Busy scouting Coloccini, I suppose

Don't forget Leonardo first quote(as Milan coach) about what type of scheme he wanted for Milan. He said in clear words, he wanted his Milan playing like 1982 Brazil NT!

Most of us were young to remember, but since Brazil's 82 NT is the most loved team but 70's and 58's here, I had a chance to watch all the games on TV several times in reprises.

Leonardo never wanted to play with wings, but he also didn't expect to loose Kaká(his #10). After that, at the beginning of the season, he tried Ronaldinho in the role Kaká played(and Zico back in 82), but our Gaucho just wanted to play at the freak left line

The 82 team played at A 4-4-2 and sometimes a 4-3-1-2, and that was his plans to Milan until Kaká departure and Ronaldinho dependence.

As I said at the start of the season(and in December), it was a mistake to do the same thing Parreira tried to do in Brazil NT and failed. Adapt the team to Ronaldinho, playing him where he likes. But I can't blame Leo that much because with the "team" he received, or he takes all he can of Ronaldinho or he was dead.

Sorry for the big post, guys... but it's just to remember that Leonardo initial plans were a Brazil 82 NT copy, and thats screams NO WINGER...

The thoughts of Dida extending sickens me, and the uncertainty behind Favalli's departure come season's end keeps me awake all night....
