Diogo imo is a amazing LB prospect. As any young offensive FB, need to learn more about defending. But, whats important for me when a look for a young FB here in Brazil is, has Diogo the mentality to be a good defender? Imo, yes.

Why imo it's important? Because if you're soft and uninterested(defending), ther's almost no hope. Sometimes the kid is just clueless or not used to that job.

Look, Maicon was called here in Cruzeiro(by Cruzeiro fans) as Maicon Avenue... The guy was bad and clueless at defending. One year at Monaco and he was other player. But if you watched him in the past, you could have see the mentality and will to became a good one.

In the past, when they were hyped a lot, I craved here in MM that Cicinho and Ilsinho, even with European coaching, would never reach the level to be a FB in Europe. They(imo) were soft and uninterested, and the time proves me right...

You can't to teach talent for a fullback, but you can teach defending if he want, and I can see in Diogo this will. Hope he take a good decision and don't pull a Marcelo going to a club will bench you before to teach...

Back to the game, it will start!!
Even in Monaco, Maicon was actually a joke most of the time and it's why Monaco sold him at the first offer coming (the one of Inter). Scouts from Inter have to be given credit on this one because they saw some potential in a player who was simply bad and now, they have the #1 RB in the world (for me, Maicon is better than Alves).

... and I, Santos!! LOL
Boring and nervous game at the start, but became better after the mid of the half.
Imo, Arouca is the best player on the pitch so far. Even Brazilians pundits, that loves to only hype offensive players are agreeing.

Btw, DUCO, this Santos team is scoring( and a lot) in all of the teams they faced. São Paulo better be ready(and calm) for the second half or this game will get ugly.

Funny thing is that as you can see, the only DM on Santos is Arouca, and he isn't a holder. This is a crazy scheme I always rate Arouca high, since Brazil youth teams, but It's amazing the level he's playing as a holder. Shame Dunga is soooooo stuborn(and maybe is too late) and this guy will not have a chance in Brazil NT...

Hernanes one more time was put on the right side of the mid(wrong decision by the coach), but this time( for my surprise) is disobeying his coach and came back to his old role(Pirlo's). The only guy in São Paulo to create danger for Santos.

Jean #2(S.Paulo Holder that I hype) is having a very good game at RB dealing with Neymar. Keep in mind he isn't a fullback, and IMO São Paulo will be a much better team with him at his position.

The second-half will start.

EDIT:

That's how you kick a free kick

Miranda has looked a bit clumpsy towards the end, the Free Kick for the goal was a foul by him for instance. Remember we were linked with him last summer I think.

Yep, Arouca owned the mid in the first-half, but Hernanes take over the game in the second... and to think this guy could be playing for us this year... One more time, how Dunga let this guy out of Brazil NT is beyond me.

Miranda isn't in a good form this year. Maybe is because his transfer to Europe(besides us, he was linked to Wolfsburg and Lazio) failed. Btw, just for curiosity, he's the only big name player that I know that don't have a agent. He's the one that negotiate his own contracts and transfers. People said it is the reason his transfer failed.
But he's a very good defender. Not future world class, but very good.

Geo fill me in Karim Ait-Fana with Montpellier I like what I've seen which is only 5 or 6 games but i think he has the makings of a very good player.

Okay game from Hernanes, I seen better performance from him. Yet, even in this okay game, he showed that he is better than any of Milan current midfield.
