Poor finishing let us down badly in this game. Kaka and Tomasson were also guilty of not sending in a pass at the first instant to the open man and let us down.

Kaka is playing poorly. Problem is that benching him won't do much good as Rui Costa won't make a run like him. I think Kaka has forgotten shooting for some reason Our OTHER strikers in the shape of Crespo and Tomasson are just not making the most of the opportunities they are getting. When Shev was injured at half-time I thought it would be a good chance to see how good our team would be at scoring without him and it is not pleasing at all to see these chances go missing when the goalkeeper isn't even tested! It is terrible!

Silvio didn't look happy at all when they showed him in 81st min! He looked angry and frustrated and Fester shaking his head in disbelief just cracked me up big time! He must be lecturing the players right now scolding them for blowing a golden opportunity to grab 3 points!

We are paying a price in games as we take the lead and then don't consolidate on that by building it up with good scoring chances. Long range shooting needs to come into play more.

Our set-pieces have to be the WORST of all the big teams in world football!! Downright ridiculous to the extent that there is hardly ever any danger when Milan takes a FK or Corner! We have 0% utilization on them.

We have to really work on the finishing and set-pieces. Juve remains in touching distance so no damage done but an opportunity has passed us by for sure.

ACMILAN1983 will become famous soon enough
I'll put a more detailed post later, but today we were wasteful, which our players need to work on immeasurably. Also, we took a step back in defence as we let our concentration go when they scored.

What a frustrating game to watch, sigh... Most important though is to remember that there is no need (yet, hehehe) to start bashing the team and our chances to be victorious come May.

1. The general attitude during the games I´ve watched including this one vs Roma is starting to piss me off. My oppinion is that Milan as a team needs to be more humble and aware of the fact that when the game starts the score is actually 0-0, not 3-0. Sometimes I just get a feeling that the players are a bit arrogant, thinking something like "no worries, someone will fix this". If my feeling is in any way close to reality, then Ancelotti needs to fix this and restore the hunger within the team. Some players actually look like they just got out of bed when we are playing. Wake up and fight!!!
It is not that our quality suddenly has dropped, it´s there - we just need to bring in the right mentality so that we can take advantage of the resources that this team in fact has.

2. Another problem is that Shevchenko has carried this team so far in this season, someone anyf*ckinone must step up and start delivering. Crespo is a joke so far in my most humble oppinion, Tomasson seems to perform at his best when starts on the bench and Pippo, oh Pippo, is out. I am definitely of the oppinion that we should boost our attack with a new player in January, either Bojinov or Gilardino. It is also obvious that the team is dependant on an in-form Kaká, which is not the case right now.

Ahhh, so frustrated right now. Now Brescia must pay.

Forza Milan!!

my sentiments realli....
-Nesta n Maldini shows the lack of concentration
-Kaka and Shev were selfish...
-Gattuso was giving away too much freekicks
-Pancaro was giving away the ball too easily
-the lack of will to go for the ball allows Roma to regain possession too easily
-the way they play against Roma was simply a show of complacency...

However..
-Cafu was extraordinary in our attack as well as defence..but only during the 1st 60 plus mins...fatigue took over
-Kaka was alive during the last 20 mins..going for assist instead of finishing himself but our strikers let him down
-Pirlo was instrumental with his passes (grenade launching :grinser)..

Now with Brescia and Siena in the lineup...we should be able to rest a few of our impt players like Kaka,Cafu and Nesta with some rotation in the squad in order to face the intriguing season ahead.
The 4pts lead by Juve ain tt impt so early in the season...y r people gettin so worked up like Juve is going to be runaway winners...let Juve be the winter champions for all i care..but i noe come May..the Red n Black will don the Campione Centrestage again!

FORZA MILAN!!

With Zeman you are bound to see ridiculous scorelines, like 4-3 or 5-4... It's a potential health hazard.

It's 2 points lost due to pissed poor finishing. We created enough chances to win by at least 3 goals if the finishing had been more clinical. I'm running of out patience for Crespo now and JDT just ain't starter material. A new striker in January looks more likely than ever (I'll be happy with a 6 month loan deal if it's for some proven player), but until then Sheva is still our get-out-of-jail trump card.

Maldini was at fault for Roma's goal. Just what the phuck was he ball-watching and left Montella totally unmarked? A great chance to reduce Yoovay's lead to 2 points and we simply blew it. A funny weekend of draws as 7 of the 8 Serie A games on Sunday all ended in stalemates.

A poor weekend for me in the fantasy league too, I sold Jankuloski for Stankovic and one scored a match-winning goal while the other got himself red-carded. It's a double blow cause this week is a double game week, which means I'll be losing more points on Stankovic for the midweek games... Well the good news for me is Carlos (the current leader) will also be losing points midweek on Parisi.

Lastly, welcome back mange! The team could do with one of your pep talks now.

Shouldn't forget what BaggioForever posted about the defense, with all the problems about Sheva carrying the team and the midfield very much out of form the defense is causing problems for itself not only on the goal but also Mancini (if I remember correctly) could easily have had a second for them, yet another example of a (higher) ball coming in and one or two opposing players very open.

old timers

My thoughts of the season so far.

Milan are ageing!!, we need another young defender for maldini and eventually cafu. we need a young striker with promise and talent, not a tap in artist! i dont think gilardino is the way to go we need someone with more flair maybe someone like tevez!! I think crespo needs more playing time before we can dismiss him! and JDT should be sold, Collocini should be given more playing time, costa should also retire!

if we didnt have sheva we would be screwed

Costa as in Costacurta . I agree with mange with his comments milan need to get thier act together. Kaka is brilliant but still young and we need to find another playmaker . pirlo is great but he makes simple errors at times with brilliance!

DOnt get me wrong i love milan but we need to play with more passion and energy if we are going to catch juve , we missed such a great chance to catch them . looking fwd to midweek!

Bye from australia!!

stam - nesta - maldini
cafu - pirlo - rui costa - seedorf
------ kaka -------
---- pippo/jdt/crespo -- sheva

Pancaro was perfect last year, dont get me wrong I like him.. but this season hes nothing like he was last year.. We need 1 more young defender like Mexes. We have collocini who will replace Maldini () when he retires.. I really think we need a new striker.. i'd prefer Tevez over Boijnov.. his characterstics would match Sheva the best, although if Crespo is in form, i'd love to see them play..

but u see, this is the prob with milan.. they keep saying We're still finding our form.. TILL WHEN? who do they think they're kiddin and say we will find form in spring.. ofcourse its better to find it later than now, but with a squad like this, why not find the best form till the end of the season?

As I said, somebody talked long before he gave it a deep thought. Whether it was actually Silvio, someone on that other forum, or someone here I don't know but Zeman is the exact opposite of what Milan has been for the past 100 years or so, so...
With him at the helm Milan will be an attractive team playing the sexiest football around while finishing 4th or 5th. Inconsistancy is the word that best describes Zeman's results everywhere he has been. Sexy football don't win you trophies.

I just cant post often nowadays but I just had too after this.. "defeat"

We really should have won. And what makes it worst was that I was so much expecting a victory since Juve lost.

Damn.

I agree with most of who are saying the burden all just cant be put on Sheva alone. We need another striker. Is Torres available for the CL?

I think we need another striker. Perhaps Cassano in the January Trade. We just can't keep relying on Shevchenko. Crespo is not doing well. We will probably see more of Super Pippo soon.
