AC Milan - AS Roma (post-game comments)

AC Milan 1 - 1 Roma (Sheva, Montella)

we just missed a big chance to get closer to Juve.....we missed chance after chance....especially with JDT who doesn't seem to be at his best.....it was a very exciting game, we could have won it, but our strikers (Crespo and JDT) didn't seem to be wearing their scoring boots, while Mexes and Pelizzoli were giants today....

anyway, comments??

why did he change shevchenko?
i think it's the 2nd game that we lose because of carlo. he make some decisions that i don't understand!

Well, apart from the result, Milan played a very good game and just lacked luck infront of both goals - missed many chances while let in a goal after some carambole infront of Dida. Overall, the result is very very disappointing after a very good performance - complete dominance in the 1st half and a very interisting 2nd period in which Roma improved their game but Milan were still on top. Very unfortunate that we lost Sheva for the second half when we missed his ability to convert and create opportunities.
The way Milan played makes this draw with Roma really hurt but what makes it even worse is Juve's loss yesterday - a great chance to get closer to them went in vain.

Shevchenko was rested because he was feeling his leg muscles tighten. Don't blame this on Carlo it's not his fault ... Shevchenko can't play 90 mins every game. Blame the people who couldn't shoot properly tonight and who missed all these chances, they're the ones who lost us 2 points.

We were unlucky today but Milan without Sheva is like Inter without Adriano. We need STRIKER not in June but is January!!! Sheva is not a and need a rest, JDT and Crespo
I realy have faith in Crespo and JDT but time is tiking away!
We are 4 points behind Juve and still long way to go so...FORZA MILAN!!!

i agree with you jamie...also i feel like thomasson didn't have a feel for the game today. he had quite a few chances to score, with many beautiful passes from kaka' yet couldn't do anything with the ball. rui costa also gave the ball up quite a few times. little errors that cost us the game...yet overall, we were still pretty dominant.

I didn't watch the game but all I have to say is that it's unacceptable that the only player scoring is Sheva...our other players are too good to be in such funks for so long damn it *annoyed* eitherway FORZA MILAN PER SEMPRE!

Second absolutely appauling performance for Milan. Last yr, Milan got 22 out of 24 pts from the big teams (Juve, Inter, Lazio, Roma).. So far, we already dropped four points against Roma and Inter.. This Milan is nothing like last year. Seems like we're heading towards another disappointing campaign. Milan need Zeman.

Indeed. When Gio first started the thread `strikers problem` i didn`t really feel we had one....now i`d definitely agree with what he said there,we can`t wait for jdt or crespo to gain back their form(no matter how great players they are),Sheva needs a reliable partner otherwise we could play every game as good as we played this one and still draw or (god forbid )lose. However,it was a good game and even though we conceded a goal i`d give credit to our defence.
MOM in my opinion would be Cafu and Sheva as well.
looking forward to the next match.....FORZA MILAN

What happend in the second half? Actually both teams played a good first half. If was a good football game. But then the players came out in the second half looking totally out of focus. We gave away two point today ...

This is NOT alright. It's a f*cking scandal. I think it has been made VERY CLEAR that we have to open out wallet and buy a new and QUALIFIED striker.

This is not acceptable. Not at all...

Greetings from a pissed off fan...
