Kaka and Pirlo are surely gonna be around. Pippo and Gila are almost confirmed, though we know Gila did not perform well when Pippo is around. I don't know, could change though. Nesta and Kaladze might be there, they both need to get their fitness and chemistry together. Though from their pervious performance, they looked a bit sluggish. Yes, a bit worry about defence, since Lilie's dangermen are their attackers.

In the end, I just expect a good performance. That's all.

I have a feeling that they didn't field their 1st team in that match but prepare them for the match against Milan.

Milan were actually planned to do the same and that's why Carletto fielding the like of Favalli, Ambro and the "unfit" Maldini and not even Kaka (who forcedly subbed Maldini), Pirlo, Cafu and the other proven winning players.

I don't think Kaka cam on for Maldini. It ws kaladze and I surely wish he is fit enough to participate in the Lille game. With nesta having the green light to play, I believe it'll be a tussle between Simic and Kaladze for the other central back position.

I wish Gourcuff could play.. he is already 'used' to their style of play and where the attacks will be coming from.

I agree, I like this lineup too. Maybe if Serginho/Gourcuff weren't injured, they could take the places of Janku/Seedorf. But this lineup is fine, good enough for a win over Lille and any other team in that matter.

I think our best line up against a pacey, wing-playing team like Lille is a X-tree formation as we would need to suffocate their build-up and give some help to our defense which isn't at 100% with both Nesta and Kaladze just recently reteurning to playing after some injury problems.
With Gorky and Sergio out, I think we could use Janku and Kaka behind Gila. Also, this would give an extra hand to Kaka up front as he's been playing a bit too much lately and probably isn't too fresh right now.

hey, looks like Carlo listened to me after all, well almost ... haha

i can't beleive Carlo will use the X-tree formation finally great choice, though it's a little bit defensive i think it's the best formation to play against a team like Lille which is very fast on counter attacks

Gila should sign in this match
Now he will be the only target for KAKA ,Seedorf and Pirlo

I don't like the idea of playing only one striker, but i guess we would have to since Lille are very good on the counters like you said.
