Serie A Week 8: Milan - Roma (18/10/09)

Milan have endured a dispiriting start to the season, collecting just nine points from their first seven Serie A outings.

Roma have not had a flawless start to the campaign either, but go into the match two points better off than their hosts and Ambrosini is desperate for a win.

Ambrosini wants his team-mates to stand up and be counted as they look to kickstart their faltering season.

Ac Milan need to be on top of their game and not let Roma take advantage of the bad start we had!

Will be watching this one keenly on Omnisport!!

I too think its going to be a flat 442 with Abate-Pirlo-Ambro-Seedorf. This might actually work out for the best (until Beckham saves us) as its admittedly boring but solid. We're going to depend on an R80 moment of genius for a goal, or Pato's pace, but we won't dominate the game with a 442.


And yes, i'm believing in him again.

Yup, I agree. I think it might be a flat 4-4-2, although he could chose to play Pirlo on the left and Seedorf in the middle, Pirlo has been very good on the left when he's played there earlier this season. Although it's probably most likely that it'll be like you wrote.

It's funny, it doesn't matter how terribly we play, I still end up getting all excited when it's close to kickoff.

And yeah, go Dinho!

Seedorf will play LM? And Dinho will play, what? Second forward on the left side? And PAto will drift to the right or?

This could lead to chaos on the field if players fail to move well, lets hope they will not fail.

I don't get it, Janku would probably a better LM in this situation than Seedorf would. And this would be the game to start Huntelaar, seeing as we'd have natural width from this formation.

wow dida starting the game from out of nowhere ? what happen to storari? would it be better to have flamini instead of ambro? flamini will give us 'legs' to run the midfield,
