Yes, Gallas has been linked to Milan, and yes, good point, Bouhlarouz could take his place!

Abramovic blocked Gallas move to Madrid. The personal terms were settled, but Roman stopped it himself. Now, we would be incredibly stupid if we sold Sheva and didnt negotiate over Gallas?!! When we give Bonera or Simic to Lazio, I believe we will go for Gallas. This Cappello-Mijatovic-Calderon squad is really going on my nerves with that constant illegal tapping up, and UEFA will not do anything becouse UEFA is the biggest football mafia there ever was! Disgusting!

Where on earth did you hear about Gallas moving to Madrid ? That just sounds like complete lies by whatever news source it came from.

If that was true don't you think Gallas and/or Madrid would be talking about it ? The state Gallas is in right now he'd be telling everyone how he was ready to go but stopped by Roman.

I'd be absolutely astonished if this was true and it was kept this much of a secret.

Real Madrid are our rivals in the race to sign Gallas. After Gallas saying what he said about Italians after the WC, I wouldnt be surprised to see him wear a RM jersey soon. Afterall he did say he wished to join them last month.

I don't remember him ever saying he wanted to join Madrid. If we're talking about mentioning a specific club he's only ever talked about joing Milan.

What he did mention was something along the lines of "I want to move away from England & the Premiership and experience a different league, like Spain for example".

I'll hold my hands up right now and obviously say i've not seen everything related to Gallas and this saga, but i've never ever seen him say he wants to move to Madrid. Channel 4, Calciomercato, SkySports, BBC, they'd all have mentioned something.

I don't doubt that RM will more than likely be our rivals for him, but i'm certain that if we ever do go for him he will prefer us to them.

Unfortunatelly, the whole Shevchenko affair apparently was made on a rather hasty and clumsy fashion...

I wouldnt be surprised if he was indeed linked to Madrid. After all, they are looking for defensive reinforcements and he is looking to leave to play in another league. If indeed all this is true, I wonder why Roman would be blocking this move. Is it revenge for Madrid tapping up Arjen Robben, or is it because Gallas is going to be sent our way? I sure hope for the latter, although there are no signs that anything is progressing.

By the way, can you imagine us doing the same to Shevchenko when he announced that he wanted to leave? Just keep him against his will, give his shirt number to a new player, etc....Actually come to think of it, after seeing Sheva expressing so much "love" for his new club, that might have been a good thing---we ought to have just banished him to the reserves for a few years

I'd say that considering Chelsea wants Ashley Cole, this is probably the most likely Gallas destination. From the BBC:

An Ashley Cole-William Gallas swap deal will finally end the summer's longest transfer saga with Chelsea likely to pay Arsenal a £10m cash adjustment. (Daily Express)

Arsenal have made a formal £5m offer for William Gallas. (Guardian)

Sounds logical enough, RIck, but also strangely illogical. The reason Gallas wants to leave Chelsea is because he wants to play in another league. Why would he agree to go to Arsenal? And if he were forced to remain in England, then Chelsea would still be his best bet to win more trophies---moving to Arsenal wouldnt make much sense---at least from Gallas' point of view. Unless of course he wants to move solely because he wants to play CB. But then again, dozens of better clubs would be able to offer him that.

I'm not so sure about the moving leagues thing is that true.

I think he just doesn't get along well with Chelsea's my way or the highway system and especially he doesn't want to play LB. He wants to play CB only.
I would think that Arsenal would still want him to play on the left.

If he came to Milan, he could pair up with Nesta in the middle, and Kakha/Seginho/Janku/Favali could be on the left. (Kakha could also back up the CB, along with Simic/Maldini), and Bonera/Cafu/Simic on the right. (even though Simic has stated he wants to play CB, but will take RB if he has to)

Now it looks he will join Arsenal, and I cant believe we sold Sheva and didnt get this guy! Selling the best striker in the world for 35mil pounds and not getting the player we want, that sucks.
