i don't think Milan are laughing stock, Dida maybe, but not Milan ,anything but, I Would also like to comment on the Milan fans who were excellent and were still swapping scarves etc and wishing celtic good luck after the game. Hope it's as good a game for us in the san siro but i think we will take a beating !! Milan will be annoyed and if they can still produce performances like they did aginst Man U last year i really fear for us especially if Ronaldo will be fit ! Like all players/coaches once they've served their time, it's time to move on.

If they are no longer capable of performing, then they should be moved on. Simple as that. Simic showed great professionalism by saying he wants out. The others should take a leaf out of his book, and do the same.

They are NOT good backup players. Hence how we mess up when they play.

Everything about this club now is depended on 5-7 players - Kaka, Pirlo, Rino, Nesta, Oddo, Ambro, Maldini. The rest bar one or two have no place in Milan.

If your happy with this situation, then you cannot be unhappy with any result we achieve, otherwise your a hypocrite.

I'm sorry, but that is the worst argument I've ever heard. Just cause I'm happy with our backup players I would be a hypocrite to be unsatisfied with the results? I guess you didn't realize the whole "human beings" part, where players actually don't perform exactly the same every single game, it's called good and bad form... If you think twice about it you will understand your mistake there.

Also I agree that Favalli isn't good enough, and Fiori who is more of a coach than a player. Though the way I look at it (Ancelotti doesnt share my view here it seems) Favalli is 4th in line on the leftback, after Jankulovski, Maldini (when he's fit he should be prefered to be moved out on left back if needed) and Serginho. We also have Bonera who can step in on right back if needed, so I don't believe we need another backup there either.

Most people believe Ba was offered a contract to help guide Gourcuff, and you will never see him play other than maybe a few Coppa matches, but I doubt even that. It's good for the kid to get a fellow french midfielder with experience and understanding of the Milan way. I guess he still doesnt feel ready to retire, so he's got the title "player".

Also I think you are a bit harsh when it comes to Emerson. To label him not good enough already isn't giving him a fair chance.

If you don't like the part about Milan being a family, I guess that's just something you will need to accept as a reality. This family, or retirement home (whatever you want to call it), has been the most successful club in Europe the last 5 years. They gotta be doing something right...

I agree with both of you. Players like we have could be usefull replacements... i dont mind Cafu or Favalli being played in the 70-th minute of a match that we are winning by 2 goals. They aint bad, but they cant contribute greatly anymore. I like the family atmosphere and i think its a right and noble way to do it. Dont want milan to turn in some mercenary 'strictly bussines' real like club.

but there are several things that go with this...
1) oldies should be backup, not frequent starters!
2) for that purpose, they should earn much less for mostly being benched
3) if we wanna keep on with our 'family', we should buy younger members that can take over from oldies. Buying 30+ players for 2 seasons and not investing in future players - and talking about family - is just a sand in the eye.

Ancelotti is doing something right, Kaka is, Pirlo, gattuso etc, but when they are rested we suffer, when they perform bad it's not a problem as the subs aren't good enough to displace them. Athens was a fluke based on how we performed all season, Moscow in May seems an even bigger miracle.

This thread is closed. Freedom of speech comes with rsponsibility; it's more than "this is my opinion and I can say whatever you want".

If there is one thing that you can get away from MM, it's how to be a responsible supporter and mind your own words and thinking.

You can hate Dida for whatever reasons, whether he truly is awful or he just looks bad in your eyes, but you need to learn how to respect him as a player and a team member of a team game called football.

I'm exerting (rather the first time) my power as a mod to stop this bashing on Dida, which has gone simply out of range and completely outrageous.

Worse, you are damaging the reputation of the forum, and the fact that you actually do not know how much the admins are paying for the domain FOR YOU.

All we want is some respect for some players, but it looks like you have truly taken for granted.

You can start your bashing on Dida on some other threads, and when I consider it as over-the-board expect an immediate closure of the thread.
