Celtic vs AC Milan UCL 03/10/2007

first try in making a match thread....hope i'm lucky....made one coz i didn't see any thread for this match....

It's looking more and more likely that Nakamura and Hesselink (hurt today vs. Dundee United) will miss the match due to injury. Meanwhile, no Dida, Maldini or Ronaldo for us.

Both sides combined are looking more and more like a MASH unit.

I wont' be surprised by a 1-1 draw, but I think it'll be entirely ok.

I hope we win! We playing good in CL ! But we are bad in Italian league ! I think we win 0:1 !

No I expect a win. We're always motivated in Europe.

sound more like 0-0 to me. And a dull, physical game...

guys you dont get it, Milan are awsome in the UCL. were just bad in italy. but this is great it could be a great boost for us. am expecting a 3:1 win atleast. but still hope gourcuff makes the starting eleven.

As much as I'd like to see Gourcuff on, I also want to see the best 11 on the pitch. We need a big win for morale. Celtic are a good team that we should be able to beat, but now that they are without Vennegoor and Nakamura that means they lost 50% of their firepower. Another draw would definitely be disappointing.

I wonder if Seedorf will be fit to run 75-80 mins on Wednesday after playing about 4 full games in a row. Chances are Carletto will force him to anyway. Most probable formation is the one hitmannq8 posted and most probable results are: 1-0, 1-1, 2-1. To either team.

MILANELLO - At the end of the morning training, the list of called-up players for Glasgow has been announced:

GOALKEEPERS: Dida, Kalac, Fiori, Offredi
DEFENDERS: Bonera, Cafu, Favalli, Jankulovski, Nesta, Oddo, Simic
MIDFIELDERS: Ambrosini, Brocchi, Gattuso, Emerson, Gourcuff, Kakà, Pirlo, Seedorf
ATTACKERS: Gilardino, Inzaghi

I haven't been on the forums much as our internet in our student flat doesn't work via a router yet, but hopefully things will be sorted out soon - as with Milan's problems!

ahhhh most of those names makes me sick, the age issue is a real problem.

I can only expect a draw....the Celtic coach, isnt daft, and will have seen how the Italian teams close us out...and will probably adopt a similar approach...and on current form, we will be lucky to leave Glasgow with a point...regardless of how "open" they supposedly will be.

I am so disappointed in Sunday´s performance, that I cannot be objective in this post...so I will quit while I am ahead.

Hear hear... I'm not very optimistic either, and I really do not know what to believe lately...And Strachan is quite an intelligent guy who will surely take a look at how the small Italian teams manage to shut down Milan's offensive guns..Though I am pessimistic, I am not going to make any predictions...I just hope that we play good and get a win, otherwise, it is going to turn pretty ugly for Milan, I'm afraid
