Pato was an unknown 17 yrs old when Berlu paid like 20mil to sign him.
Kaka was also an unknown.
T. Silva failed in Europe before heading back to Brazil.
Hernanez was first contacted by Leo 2-3 yrs ago.
Then there are Fabiano and Dzeko.

I don't think a 4m salary cap would be a hard and fast rule at the club. I would imagine it's a kind of target which we are trying to meet, but not something that can't be breached in some cases.

Personally, my immediate thought is Berlu's never supported Leo, and it was mostly Galliani's desire that Leo managed Milan from the beginning, hence Berlu decided against investing for the players Leo wanted. It's pure speculation, but if Berlu does spend this summer then it's one that may hold some weight.

Anyway, it's still too early to say Leo is even leaving atm. Berlu's comments were neither confirmed or denied when the club was asked (if Berlu made the comments, then it was probably of his own volition).

If the comments are true, I'm pretty sure Berlu's "stubborn" comment is meant as a criticism of Leo's system, as everywhere I've seen it's encapsulating past tense (i.e. Leo has been too stubborn). Also, in the same comment Berlu was very critical of Leo's setup as he says Milan have played badly this season.

Stubborn? So I guess part of the hiring process is:

"Your salary, $1million Euro. Your formation: 4-3-1-2

Last summer he didn`t provide,yes. But the season before we didnt pay CL. If we secure CL spot for next season, 20 mil will not be problem, this amount is there, its another issue if he decided not to spend.

Agreed.... Salary caps sould be a league thing... NFL is a very profitable league and they have a salary cap. Maybe UEFA should have a salary cap... or leagues sould have a salary cap of their own... this would keep management on their toes and make the leagues more competive... IMO the english league is one of the worst managed in Europe... because not much financial regulations.

We had CL security for this season last summer, so we're in the same situation now (well, if we secure CL, and that's quite a big if right now). Our debt from non-participation was covered by Kaka's sale.

Not going to happen if Hunter gets sold he will just be gone and if Dinho gets sold Mancini will play there.

I really doubt Berlu will re-invest any money from selling Pato, Hunter, Dinho and Flamini.

As he will say that he already got Gattuso and Ambro in midfield, re-calling Polashi, signing Mancini, then loan on Beckham

Id prefer him to grab the spotlight, by announcing a genuine signing rather than adding to the chaos he has created in our version of the cold war that we tried to call a challenge for the scudetto.

haven't read the past few pages so mind me if I'm being repetetive:

-Leo's loss can potentially be worse than Kaka and Sheva's losses. I'm hoping for a more serious reaction from the fans.

- I'm very happy for Inter, I hope they can win the CL and return to be a force in Europe again. Milan's had so much weight on it's shoulders in the past few years it's time some one else helps out.

- Even if Inter win the CL, Germany has officially passed Italy in the coeffecients for this year. Meaning that NEXT year, only 3 Italian teams will go to CL. Meaning that the team MUST invest because it will not be easy to get 3rd place again.

- Why the f are we bringing in Tassotti or Galli?
