When was the last time the coach of this team actually get a say in what they do in the market? The Milan mercato has been run by Berlusconi and GAlliani for years and whoever the new coach is will not change that. |

If it was Galli's bet, then it was a good one. Like it was Galli's bet on Cissoko, Gourcuff, and others.
I wonder who will be the next coach. I don't remember if Leonardo was announced as Milan's new manager right after Carlo, or was it a little time later? I think it was pretty soon after, which makes this time different. I can't think of a particular manager at the WC that I would want. Lippi, maybe, but, I can't think of anyone else. Lippi would also want money at his disposal, and that doesn't seem to go with our current reality. I also don't get why people want Ronaldinho to be sold. He has been the most creative player in Serie A, why would we want to sell him? Also, the President of Emirates in Italy said that if Milan sold Ronaldinho, they would have to buy a player of similar quality, i.e. marketing ability. I don't think that would be possible, as A) Ronaldinho is one of the most marketable players in the world and B) It doesn't look like we're going to be able to spend money on a marketable player, even if we did sell Dinho. |

All due respect, Samaldinho, but that theory is not exactly convincing. Sure, Berlusconi would probably not look very good spending millions while being the PM of a country with poor economy. But, our low spending policy started before Berlusconi got elected to office or the world economy collapsed. Berlusconi was relected by 2008, and the world economy collapsed not too long after that. Our low spending transfer policy, however, started a bit earlier than that. Anyone still remember what we did with the money we got from the Shevchenko sale in 2006? Yeah, we pocketed it. If I remembered correctly, we weren't exactly pouring in millions the year before that either. It would seem to me that Berlusconi decided to stop spending money on Milan before he was reelected into the office or the world economy collapsed. On the other hand, I don't know how valid the claim of Italian people will stop supporting Berlusconi if they see him spend money on Milan. Milan, in a way, is a company. And companies have expenses. Spending money in the transfer market is part of those expenses that occurs in a soccer team. Would a lot of people really be that upset if Berlusconi put some money in milan to make sure it operates sufficiently? I kind of doubt that. Sure, it would look bad if Berlusconi piss away 1,000,000,000 euros every year on Milan just for fun. But reasonable spending on the team is more than understandable for the people. To me, this management has already proven to lost their minds. Why else would we sign the players that we sign and keep playing musical chairs with our coaching position? But if you need more convincing, then I guess you will get your answers by the end of the summer. |

My guess is that as long as Leo wished to stay on, he could. It would be financially the best for B&G; yet Leo may seem to be a puppet, he is not; he doesn't want to be one. He is humble but he is not weak.
I just hope that Leo could go back to be the scout for Milan, though a few months earlier he stated that it would not happen like that.

i hope we shoot after marcelo lippi, it's too bad to see leo gone and he did what he could but the cold fact is we're not loosing capello, sir alex, or even vicente del bosque, it's bad that we're loosing a great scout leonardo but that's the fact guy's a scout, we're ac milan and we're a club that's larger than life, now get ready the media is going to write a infinite amount of stories why we'll be in serie c next year (sarcastic)

During the Ancelotti years, Milan never bought any winger (you could say that we bought Ronaldinho, but he didn't come to play as a winger). Suddenly, Leonardo is at the head of the team, he plays a 4-3-3 formation, and look at the kind of player Galliani brought to Milan ?! Mancini, a winger ... So, it's very important to quickly choose a coach as that will give more time to this coach to know what he needs and then tell it to Galliani who will have to make some moves on the market and negotiate (more time they will waste to choose this coach, less time they will have to give him what he needs to do what he has in mind with the team).

I have a feeling ManU and Milan will make a swap of Borri for Berba.
Honestly, I would actually think it is a good deal. Say all you want about Berba, he might not score goals but he is good at setting them up. Thus, if Hunter or Pato or Polashi is playing along side him, they will score a lot. Beside, he would fit right in with the others non running players in Milan-Slowdorf, Dinho and Pirlo. We can call them the WALKING FANTASTIC FOUR |

the best exchange deal is the one that will include huntelaar - Diego.
diego is the kind of player we need, he is brilliant and would fit perfectly at seedorfs place. but since we all know how the management think, i guess we are looking for trezeget, camoransi, grosso, canavaro, berbatov kind of player a camponi, a reject and offcourse an old expensive one

i would like ranieri at milan, he brought in good talents for juve and did alot better then the coach they have now.. with a club like milan we just need a strong attitude and a coach with a brain someone who will speak up to fester and berlusconi when they need to.. a problem i noticed with milan is the bond between our elderly players and galli and berlusconi.. they keep the likes of pirlo gattuso etc.. at the club and pay them wages they really dont deserve just to sit on the bench so at every meeting or practice they can have a glass of wine and talk about how there all "champions" i can just see it
favalli telling galiani how he cant run anymore so he should pay him double to stay at milan.. honeslty r mgnmnt needs big changes fasttt |

I also trust the management in their choice of coach, as they have a fantastic track record. Sacchi, Capello, Ancelotti, Leo and even Zac were all successful picks from the management. The only real flop I can remember was Tabarez back in the mid 90s and to a lesser extent Terim (although he is a very good coach and not necessarily a bad choice). All I really hope is that the next coach will try and build a team that's structurally very well organized and hard working. I read an interesting article on Guardian of late which mentioned how Sacchi once in training told pretty much our first team (except for the defence) to play a training match against Giovanni Galli, Tassotti, Costacurta, Baresi and Maldini. The rules were that if the attacking team were to lose possession or the ball to go dead (out of play) against the 5 men, they would have to restart 10 yards in their own half. Never did the team score against the 5 players. Sacchi's reasoning was to show how important a well organized team is to success. In the modern game I would also argue it's necessary for the whole team to work in defence, but the concept still holds very true today. |

Nilmar, our new target ?
http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/milan...dnotizia=24800 It would be something great to have an attack with Nilmar, Pato, Borriello and Huntelaar ... but only if we don't play with the same tactics as this year !!

Hmm Nilmaar would be great and G.Rossi would be even better. But i want Boriello and Ronaldinho out. Thanks to both of them for having good seasons, but if ACM wants to move forward, then both should be sold to Man Utd and Man City respectively. Or maybe if Ronaldinho can be our new Pirlo .... ???
........Pato....Huntelaar.....Rossi....... .....................Pirlo....................... This would be some attack ![]()
