No, Mario Fernandes is a CB that can play as FB. He even had a little problem with his former coach, because this year, he wanted to play only as CB.

Right now, I think both are even as CB, but Mario give us versatility.

If you were in charge, what you would buy, David Luiz or Fernandez regarding of our need in fullback and future CB for Nesta's place (could be soon since Nesta is injury prone and could be heading to Lazio soon but I don't believe this rumour because I think he will retire in Milan).

David Luiz is above both Siregar, there's no doubt in my mind about that. I just don't talk about him nowadays(talked a lot here in MM when he was a unknown) because it will be a hard buy(price & competition). Imo the time to David purchase has gone(like with Alex)...

Regarding the FB doubt, David as a FB imo is a little overrated. He can play there some games, but he isn't that good as people(press) like to say. To be fair, going forward he is amazing, but maybe because of his size, he lack some agility defending the side. As fullback, Mario Fernandes is the best of the three imo, and by far. But David is the best CB hands down...

Btw, there's a young CB getting a lot of hype here in Brazil. He's called Dedé(Anderson Vital da Silva), a big CB(1,92m) that plays for Vasco da Gama(born in 1988), and today was the first time I had a chance to see Dedé playing live... and I have to say I became impressed. Plays hard, secure, comfortable with the ball on feet, isn't violent or relly on fouls(can't remember of a single foul) and is fast for his size. The type of defender that I like, because will not get booked a lot. Plus was very calm(the game was in open TV) and always trying to calm down players from both teams on the field.

Look, I'm not saying he's ready to Europe, since I want to see him against better competition(Corinthains is a big club, but the attack is horrible), but if this boy keep this level, Brazil NT will be in his future, no doubt. I will try to see more of this lad because I really like of what I saw today. I'm impressed!

Can't watch right now, but I believe that a 10 minutes video can't be made only with goals of a CB.

This rumor is new for me, first time I read about it.

Jonathan is very talented going forward, is really strong(body wise) for a fullback, but didn´t play like one. For years in Cruzeiro he played a little too much "free"(like Mancini here in Atletico Mineiro) for my taste, and I don´t know if he will learn it now. Better, I don´t know if he will be good as a FB in Europe.

People(and press) hype him a lot here, but I never jump on the bandwagon. To make it short, I hope it´s not true.

Mariano(Fluminense) is a FB to keep an eye here... Seginho´s like speed, skilled and with a incredible potential. Since it his first year shinning at Fluminese first team, it´s better wait for another season. If he was Italian(or a EU-player) I would say go for it, but he isn´t and I think it´s too much of a gamble to buy him now...

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought: "Wow, there was already special thread with that kind of title and someone make that thread appear again!". Well oh well, this is supposed the thread of "Kaka and his father ...".

Good job Reza. Even Brasileiro might not subjective and biased (people can objective 100% IMO), what I have seen from his view or thought about players are mostly true, either from players he suggested like David Luiz (his highest priority for very talented CB a couple of seasons ago), Pato (if the price was worth it), Thiago Silva (when we were chasing him) and the last one of course Ganso and the most unforgotten one was Jucilei (since I never heard his name before and I think most of fans did too), etc., or he warned that the players were overpriced like the other Silva (we chased 2 Silva but the other one was overrated), Bruno (CB of München), etc.

So, to add Hitmann's question: Is it worth to buy Lucas (plays in Brazil, not Liverpool) and not Jucilei? Or does Lucas have EU-pass?

How about Ganso? What kind of major operation he had before this injury? Galliani said he had already 2 major operation. How do you view it regarding his future performance? Any correlation injuries of Ganso with Kerlon's injury and his actual performance?

How about Lucas Piazon? Is he very talented? I thought Juve has got him but from the news I got that he and his father only wanted to see the situation and condition in Europe and stressed that there is still no agreement between Juve and Piazon's club which means that other club can sign him.
How do you compare Ganso, Lucas (player hitmann mentioned above) and Piazon?

Regarding Lucas, I´m surprised with this rumor. I found nohing here in Brazil about and agreement between S. Paulo and us. Indeed, the only news about Lucas here say the player and São Pauo are close to confirm the renewal of his contract.

ARIO, I can´t help about Piazon since I never saw this kid playing. Btw, it´s incredible the hype around this boy, even without any(worth) footage around the net. But I can help about Lucas(Marcelinho).

@hitmannq8 and others: Lucas is a incredible fast offensive mid as you can see at youtube. It´s the first thing you notice watching Lucas playing. What I like about this boy is that he plays bigger than his size. He´s small, but tough. Already has a great work rate for a AMD and a 18 years old. Also, has that fighting mentality that us fans love. The kid even playing bad give it all. Plus, when he was promoted to São Paulo first team, the team was a mess and you can say he was one of the reasons for the team come back on track. It´s shows mental toughness, a thing always overlooked, but that imo is fundamental for a player wanting to play in a big club in Europe.

Btw, Lucas and Ganso has almost no similarities. Ganso is a Zidane type of AMD and Lucas is more of a Kaká´s type. I guy will conduct the ball and a perfect fit for a counter attack. He will play today for Brazil under-20 NT and is a good chance to you guys watch him live. Definitely a guy to keep an eye.
