He barely touched the ball. When he touched it (few times) he failed to connect and lost the ball. Nothing was going for him, it looked like he was mostly hassling the defenders up front (getting tired early). i saw he was at the front doing that most of the time. he got into offside 3 times.

Most of the time the ball was going not to him but to D.Drogba and you know how those guys like to pass, so he got none of those, especially from Lamp.

yeah.. i kinda feel his teammates don't really appreciate him.. in Chelsea Sheva rarely gets to net what someone else created for him, most of the goals he created with his own effort....

Thanks to Gila and Brocchi, that may have been Maldini's last game. I'm not including Dida because he just came back from an injury. If that's how Paolo's glorious career ends (being subbed off for injury in the semifinals of CL), I'll have a hard time forgiving them, even though I will eventually. Especially Brocchi, at least he tried and did his best. But this would be such a bitter end for such a glowing legend. He was flawless when he did play. And he has been faithful and inspirational for 20 years, and now....having his hardwork and dream blown apart by the incompetence of his own teammates. It must have been terrible for some other players who have given their all and played flawlessly - Nesta, Kaka and Rino + co. It must have hurt like hell to watch their own teammates throw their efforts down the toilet. I know it must stink for others too, but it's pretty much their own fault.

Now, I hope we will redeem ourselves in the return leg. We MUST. We cannot have Maldini's career end like this. That would be a travesty of the highest order.

Anyway, this is the first time my frustration with certain players has boiled over. And I'm already feeling a lot better and more positive. It's likely that I won't be feeling this crappy in a long time (or so I hope). I hope you guys don't mind my ranting. I just really really need to vent. I'm not negative or fickle. I love Milan, which is why this stings so much.

come on, there's a 2nd leg at San Siro next Wednesday. It's football, everything can happen, especially when you play the strongest team in Europe (that's what Eurosport said about MU)

anyway, the result is measured by the 2 games!

Yeah well. But from experience, Milan fans tend to overreact a bit. All hell broke loose after Istanbul & many hearts were completely shattered.

In any caes, I realize that we've got a chance. We just need to take it. (At least I'm not like my friend, who broke down and started crying in class after I told her about Rooney's goal, which probably made me more worried and hysterical than I should be)

I mean, this is Milan. We can bring magic.

It is beyond my comprehension why the team that played on Tuesday will have to play on Wednesday next week, while the other tie will have two-day shorter break between their games. In England and Italy, and in Spain for that mater, there is usually another championship game has to be held on the weekend.
UEFA puzzles me every year when these sort of thing happen, and these schedules are not unusual, it happens every year in 1/4's and in the semis.
Well, as if there is a market (revenue) difference between Tue's and Wed's, i dunno.

It is for sure Milan will play a 4-3-1-2 at SS, meaning that we need 2 forwards. Maybe...just maybe.....if RO given this opportunity then he miht score as nobody expect that Carletto would field RO...moreover MU players don't know exactly how RO would play upfront.

Why 4-3-1-2....because Berlusconi did mention that and I remeber Joe Jordan, a former Rossoneri had mentioned it before the MU - Milan game got started.

Right! If we can sneak in 12 players to the field - there'll be no trouble claiming victory!

2 forwards might be a good idea, but we don't have the forwards to pick. Inzaghi and Gilardino won't work as we've seen in the past, and I really don't think that a second leg CL semi-final is the game where we should be expecting Oliveira to have a great game. I surely wouldn't risk it, and I don't think Carlo will as well.
I wouldn't mind seeing the same line up that we played with in England. The only difference is Inzaghi in place of Gilardino and make Oddo and Jankulovski get up those wings. We need to make their defence warry about the sides and not just the middle. When our backs push up, they will stretch their midfield as well. Their CM's will have to drift out wide and help out on the wings which will automatically leave more space in the middle. We didn't do that on Tuesday because our backs were so concerned about their wings.
One thing is for sure, next week I am sure we will play to our strengths and not be so concerned about theirs. And if we do that, then I am sure that we will progress.

i agree with u nefremo...inzaghi needs to play instead of gila....then bring on gila later in da game...but id like to see sergihnio somewhere in there...ive watched lastyears clips over and over again..and serighino combines really well with inzaghi...serighino providing crosses and inzaghi doing what he does best...heading it in....ive also noticed we havent used our crosses from the flanks....like we do in domestic champions for example ronaldos two goals were both from cafus crosses..but i kno we willl FROZA MILAN!!
