He is also right in the Ronaldo issue, and I think that the facts are all proven (Real played much better once Ronaldo left, it was evident for me, at least, that Madrid finally achieved some team spirit, and they ended up winning the league). And as well as Capello has his not so great precedents, Ronaldo has them too, and we just can't go blind about it. I love him as a player, and I believe that fully fit he can be #1, but a) his an injury prone 31 year old in whom we were placing most of our faith for this whole season (whole!!), I don't blame him on that point, I blame our management for having full knowledge of this and not taking care of bussiness b) I was never really happy with his primadonna party boy character, specially not in the Milan enviroment. All that said, this whole injury problem has gotten out of proportion, yes, I find it 100% disrespectful towards Milan, the coach, and his fellow teamates that right now he is at Rio spending his time while injured, without talking it first with the team. But, I think that, aside from the going to Brazil part, the rest has gone way to far. Doctors can make wrong diagnosis (the injury was right called, it was the magnitude that wasn't handled well), it's not like it happens every single day, so big thing, it turned out this time Ronaldo was the guy that was wrongly diagnosed...probably had he been Ambrosini there wouldn't have been such a media attention on the case. Ronaldo bursted out, most likely cause he thought he was going to play last week (which is good news, he wants to play), and his doctor made some comments that are 100% rude towards his colleagues, but shouldn't have really made a bigger impact on the media. |

I think Ronaldo is soooo done. I don't like thinking that
because he was such a phenomenal player, but he hasn't been legendary since Inter! Check his videos with Inter, he was a madman. |

Anti-doping prosecutor looking into genetic therapy applied to Ronaldo MILAN, Italy - The Italian Olympic Committee's anti-doping prosecutor has indicated he may open an investigation into a genetic therapy being used to treat the injured thigh of AC Milan forward Ronaldo. "I'm waiting for news, and it's not been said that we won't open an inquiry," prosecutor Ettore Torri told the ANSA news agency Monday. Ronaldo is receiving the therapy _ called growth factor which uses a natural protein to stimulate cell proliferation _ in Brazil under the supervision of national team physician Jose Luis Runco. The practice is banned in Italy. |

Is it possible that any kind of injury cant be taken care in Milanello once the right diagnosis is done? NO. End of story.
They made a mistake, ok. But when you dont train right for FIVE years, FIVE, then you shouldnt expect super form within 2 months!

Ronaldo May Face Doping Enquiry Nothing ever goes smoothly for Ronaldo. The player's controversial recovery in Brazil will soon come to an end, the Milan striker set to return to the San Siro within 48 hours, but the gene therapy that he has undergone in Rio could constitute doping - according, at least, to Luigi Frati of the Italian National Olympic Committee... zoom - galleria Ronaldo could face a doping enquiry upon his arrival in Italy, according to Italian National Olympic Committee president Luigi Frati. The striker, whose Brazilian doctors accused AC Milan of botching his rehabilitation, has been undergoing a form of gene therapy in Brazil in the hope of hastening his recovery. The treatment consists of taking protein strands from the player's blood and injecting it into the damaged portion of his body - the thigh - in order to speed up tissue regrowth. Luigi Frati contends that this could constitute illegal doping, and has hinted at the prospect of an inquiry into the player's treatment upon his arrival back in Italy. Ronaldo is expected to return to Milan within the next two days, when he will learn of his fate. The player was expected to have made his comeback to first team football by now but his injury has not progressed at the rate expected by the AC Milan medical and coaching staff. Frustrated, he returned to Brazil for more treatment, Milan only reluctantly allowing him to stay as long as he did in his country of birth. Ronaldo arrived at the San Siro in January this year from Real Madrid. He has scored seven times in fourteen league appearances for the Rossoneri.

I have this weird gut feeling that this whole injury conundrum will cause a rift between the Milan management and R99, which can see the Big Ron leaveas early as January...I really hope it does NOT happen, but it is just a bad feeling that I have deep inside

If all of it would happen one, just one month before, we would have some attacking options upfront at the moment... :s

1) Whatever is said/ done you must admire Ronaldo's newfound passion and commitment to playing and doing well. The Ronaldo of real might have accpeted the news that he has to spend more time in the dry dock nonchalantly, content to earn while in bed or at home- this one is pissed as hell because HE ACTUALLY WANTS TO PLAY AND CONTRIBUTE TO MILAN
. It is disappointing that people chose to ignore this.2) His attitude in the whole situation is quite boorish though. I mean couldn't all of this have been done without causing such a public stir and portraying Milan's revered medical facilities in a negative light Very stupid to blast the facilities as a newbie....we cured Robben dammit !! 3) Thigh injuries will soon be over no matter what the treatment. I just hope this ridiculous saga comes to an end and there are no doping allegations which I strongly suspect are Inter driven ![]()

When I first heard of this new therapy, I immediately thought that it could cause this very issue....it does seem very similar to the blood doping that the cyclists do, with the obvious exception that instead of blood, they are using other tissue....
Now, it may very well be that it wont be considered doping, but in my mind...shouldnt the procedure have been cleared with FIFA before implementation....not to mention with the club? It may very well be a "storm in a tea cup"...and indeed I hope that this is the case... Talk about going from bad to worse... ![]()

I just hope that this is not true. I read (from a Chinese source) that Milan management actually didn't know that Ronaldo did not have permission to go back to Brazil. I pretty much doubt the source of this piece of news, but at the same time I'm a little bit confused by Ronaldo's move. He is about to extend his contract with Milan; why ruin the relationship potentially like this? And if he really does, how great a player is he, really? J

Well with Ancelotti himself blasting the Milan lab can you blame him? The guy wants to play it's clear as day. I'd give a player like that (especially taking into account his talent) a contract any day

IMO, there isn't anything wrong between Ronaldo and Milan, if his treatment is illegal not only in Italy, but in the whole EU. In Milanello players injured would stay in the training base for observation, and when Ronaldo left Italy, Milan's doctor was following. Saying Ronaldo sneaked out is just unfamiliar with football.
Milan probably knows the speedy treatment is doping sensative, so left the diagnose to a Brazilian doctor, Meani. Both Milan and Ronaldo want this ambiguous chance to cure his leg, yet can't afford to "organized doping"! Sadly enough Ronaldo is too famous to lose stalking of media, and when media blow it up, the government was forced in the case. |
