I know its unrealitic but its not impossible

Frey- A swap with gila would do the trick
barzagli- we are Desperately in need of a CB, we know it, he knows it.
Grimi- End the loan.
Zamb- He said himself he wants out of barce.
ziegler- well a nice 5 to 7 mil euros would do for this guy, he is really great.
hamsik- if not us than inter or juves, so why not us, again 5 to 7 mil euros.
Huntelaar- well this would be the big striker we have been told about, it woudl be a dream come true to see a great striker play for holland and milan again, MARCO anyone. hell our management should pay 30 mil euros for this dude.

with our addidas deal this shouldnt be a problem, cuz none of these players are attached to thier clubs, well jaan-klass would a hard one cuz we need to seduce him of the other clubs. and thats about it.

if you look in the mirror for few years back (since 2002/2003), YES !! it will be never happened for milan signing such expensive players.
I mean, the pice tag for transfering the 4 players will splash BIG money, but i think their wages are ordinary for average current milan players.
And for starter level and regular player in Milan (at least my choice), the 4 players really deserved it
what makes you think Inter will sell both their starting fullbacks to us? That they would sell even one is fantasy. That Barcelona would sell Iniesta is on about the same level of unlikelyness, this time together with it being highly unlikely he would want to leave them.

Milany, Hamsik is a AM.

Here is my point :

- Iniesta
last 3 seasons in barca, he had no regular position in barca's starting eleven though he played well almost in everytime rijkaard put him in.
since 2004/2005 rijkaard usually choosed deco and xavi accompanying an anchor (marquez, edmilson, motta, yaya toure).
In some moment when rijkaard pushed to grab a win, he made xavi as anchor then deco & iniesta on left & right side respectively.
In few matches, rijkaard placed iniesta in Messi or Dinho's post.

Based on that, I think he isn't secured as 1st choice though recently he play more often than before and Milan has chance to grab him in to Milanello.
Bout the price tag, some members in this forum believe that Milan could spend large amount of money to redeem Dinho. So why not on Iniesta. iniesta is cheaper i think

- Maxwell
Maxwell has a tough competitor for left fullback in Cristian Chivu. If Chivu's back then Maxwell won't play as much as he get these days.
Yes, Maxwell could play as left midfielder in inter's 4-4-2 formation. If Stankovic fit again, Mancini will choose him over Maxwell as left midfielder. Other 3 could be Vieira & Cambiasso in central plus Zanetti on right (or Jimenez as trequarista in 4-3-1-2).

So, i think getting Maxwell ain't a fantasy, regardless Inter won't sell any of their players for their rival.

- Maicon
Yes, this is the difficultiest part to do. IMO, one of the best right full back these days. Maicon forced Mancini to play their captain Javier in midfield coz his existence.
I have no idea how to get this player
This is MANAGEMENT JOB to think how to get this man, and for my incapable, i will never in to Milan management

Iniesta extend his contract with Barca til 2014
His buy out clause 150 mil euros

now i know why kris said that signing iniesta more likely fantasy

I posted a really long reply in another thread somewhere so wont go into great detail and repeat myself but most of the players you have all suggested are just dreams and as a milan fan i cannot tell you how mad i am that the club hasn't spent any money on a team which obviously needs a makeover, its going to get to the stage where we will need a full squad to be bought rather than intergrating a few intelligent or even obvious signings with the players we have now. I love the players that have served us so well but some of them are just not good enough anymore. The club is being made to look a laughing stock around europe when it comes to transfers and i'm sick to death of the constant rumors surrounding the club because a team as great as Milan deserves more than just rumors and with a club that hasn't spent hardly any of its budget over the last 2 years its just not good enough. With the fresh blood needed at the club IMO i think we need to start by changing the manager, Ancelotti is remaining to loyal to the players that have served him so well, we need a manager who isn't scared to change things, a manager who will push the board for transfer funds as lack of competition is starting to affect great players like pirlo and seedorf who i feel are becoming lazywhich in turn is running Nesta and Kaka into the ground because they look like they are out there on by themselves most games and i'm not even going to go into the goalkeeper situation, anybody who can't see that we need a new stopper must be a closet Inter fan. Anyway this has now turned into the rant i said it wouldn't so i'm sorry lol i'm just pi55ed off about all the rumors and not actually signing anybody and wish a could just grab Galliani by the throat and stick his head in front of this screen. AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

p.s In the defence of the club i have to say the boy Pato is looking like he could be superb, very exciting to watch but its just not enough, too much pressure on the lad

DEFENCE: Nesta, Kaladze, Mexes, Bonera, MArzoratti, Zambrotta, Vargas, Jankulovski, Oddo
MIDFIELDERS: Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, emerson, Seedorf, Kaka', Diego, Cigarini
FORWARDS: Inzaghi, Boriello, Pato, Benzema, Sheva

Only Diego, Mexes and Benzema would cost much, but we need some expencive and world class players.

Lloris, Zambrotta, Vargas, Cigarini and Sheva are players that can come to milan with just a little effort, while Boriello and Marzoratti are our players..

The FACT is - if we dont get 6-8 players, we wil NOT be good enough!!

and the most important thing - Carlo out. Lippi in.

this is a Milan that can play a super football:
-------------Lloris------------
-zambrotta-nesta-mexes-vargas-----
------------pirlo---------
----gattuso-----diego--
-----------kaka'---------
------pato----benzema---

You'd better add Maldini to your lists-sounds like he's reconsidering his retirement.

I’ll give a breakdown for each position of what, in my opinion, should be done for next season. For each position, I’ll list what we have, who I think should go and who should come in. At the end I’ll post my 2008-2009 squad for the team.

Goalkeepers: Dida, Kalac, Fiori.

I would like to thank Dida for all he’s done for us, but he’s just no longer good enough to be a starting GK for the squad. Getting a good enough GK can’t be too difficult as there are options like: Boruc, Carizzo, Lloris, Frey etc etc. Fiori can go and pursue his career as a lawyer (?) and we can promote a youngster to take that 3rd GK position.

Out: Dida, Fiori
In: Carizzo, Offredi

Defenders: Cafu, Oddo, Maldini, Kaladze, Nesta, Simic, Bonera, Darmian, Digao, Favalli, Serginho, Jankulovski

To get straight to the point, Cafu, Simic, Favalli and Serginho all need to go because they really aren’t offering anything to the team. Digao should be sent somewhere on loan because he simply isn’t good enough. For replacements, I agree with the general consensus to acquire two fullbacks, Zambrotta and Vargas. Jankulovski and Oddo simply aren’t balanced enough in going forward and defending, especially considering the formation we play. Maldini may also be retiring and Darmian is there to develop like Paolo did at Milan.

Out: Cafu, Simic, Digao, Favalli, Serginho, Maldini(maybe)
In: Zambrotta, Vargas

Midfielders: Emerson, Gattuso, Seedorf, Gourcuff, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Brocchi, Ba, Kaka

Here we aren’t as bad as in defense. Emerson is good enough as backup while I believe Brocchi and Ba have done their time at this club. We should keep Gourcuff and give him more chances, while purchasing a Pirlo backup (Cigarini?) and a midfielder that can play Seedorf’s old role in the 4-3-1-2, a player like Aquilani for instance.

Out: Brocchi, Ba
In: Cigarini, Aquilani

Strikers: Ronaldo, Pato, Pippo, Gilardino, Aubameyang

Whether or not Ronaldo’s contract will be renewed, we still need to buy a first team striker for next season. My dream signing for this position would be Benzema. To finance this move we can sell Borriello, Oliveira and Gilardino who I think has had more than enough chances in this jersey. Gila would have to pull off a miraculous end of the season for me to reconsider this. Aubameyang should be sent on loan while Paloschi is promoted. The strikeforce may look young, but Pato is a phenomenon, Benzema is equally phenomenal, Paloschi deserves a chance with the first team, while Pippo is always there when we need experience

Out: Gilardino, Ronaldo(maybe)
In: Benzema, Paloschi

I believe this squad is very realistic with the only huge buys being Aquilani and Benzema which can be financed by the sale of Gilardino, Borriello, and Oliveira, along with the money we should have from the CL and money we have saved up over the years. Here’s my 2008-2009 Milan squad along with starting lineup and backup.

Goalkeepers: Carizzo, Kalac, Offredi

Defenders: Oddo, Zambrotta, Maldini(maybe), Kaladze, Nesta, Bonera, Darmian, Jankulovski, Vargas

Midfielders: Gattuso, Ambrosini, Emerson, Pirlo, Cigarini, Aquilani, Gourcuff, Seedorf, Kaka

Strikers: Pato, Benzema, Paloschi, Pippo, Ronaldo(maybe)

Starting 11, 4-3-1-2: Carizzo; Zambrotta, Nesta, Kaladze, Vargas; Gattuso, Pirlo, Aquilani/Gourcuff; Kaka; Pato, Benzema

Backup 11: 4-3-1-2: Kalac; Oddo, Bonera, Maldini/Darmian, Jankulovski; Emerson/Ambrosini, Cigarini, Aquilani/Gourcuff; Seedorf; Paloschi, Pippo

ONE: I don't know if we will, but i highly doubt that we will get 2 fullbacks this summer. However I would love to get Zambrotta and Pasqual. If Pasqual is not an option then Zambrotta can play both sides depending on who is in more in form Oddo or Jankulovski. Also I think Nesta and Kaladze have done good enough as a pair and although it would be good to add another "rock" to play next to Nesta, I think it is wizer to spend our money on a striker rather then a Barzagli or a Zapata....so I would go for a solid back up in Ferrari who would come for free.
So Ideally: - Zambrotta, Pasqual and Ferrari IN.
- Favalli, Cafu, Simic, Serginho OUT.

TWO: We really need someone to rest Pirlo. The ideal player has come up in Cigarini and we should definately do our best to sign him. Also as I mentioned in the summer mercato thread a couple of days ago, we need a Seedorf of 3-4 years ago to play in the LCM position. Aquilani IS that player right now, and there is a big chance to sign him. Let Sensi's daughter say anything she wants that he is staying, but the player himself is obviously not sure after declaring that he hopes what he has done so far is enough to leave him in the starting 11 for good. On top of that he is still waiting for a new contract to be drawn up meeting his expectations and that is something that Milan can even double.
So Ideally: - Cigarini and Aquilani IN.
- Brocchi OUT.

THREE: I agree that we should let Gilardino go. Let's just let him be happy somewhere else and maybe that will lead him to his best form. At the same time we can still bank good money on him. I would say we can sell him for 15 to even more mil. Yes we are dissapointed with him, but numbers don't lie and he has always been scoring goals. Last year he was our top goalscorer in the league as well as the year before that while this year only Kaka has scored one goal more then him in Serie A. He is also only 25 and a star in European football (meaning his name is very well known throughout Europe). I am not discussing whether he is good or not, I am just trying to point out the reasons of why we can sell him for up to 15 mil Euro even a bit more. This, plus perhaps a sale of Oliveira who has scored 10 goals in La Liga so far this season, will be enough to finance a move for Benzema or maybe Drogba (Benzema is my pick).
Ideally: - Benzema IN.
- Gilardino, Oliveira OUT.

The squad:

-----------------------GK------------------

-(Oddo)---(Ferrari*)(Darmian)(Bonera)---(Jankulovski)
--Zambrotta* - Kaladze - Nesta - Pasqual*

-----(Ambrosini) - (Cigarini*) - (Emerson)
------Gattuso----- Pirlo ------Aquilani*-------

-----------(Seedorf) (Gourcuff?)------------
------------------Kaka---------------------

----(Paloschi/Boriello)-------(Inzaghi)---------
-------Pato-----------------Benzema*-------

I really don't know if Gourcuff should stay or not. I don't even have an oppinion on that one. I guess Carlo is the best man to give that decision as he is the one that works with him day in and day out and can tell whether or not he is good enough to be kept or not and whether or not Gourcuff is will to wait for his chance which may take yet another year of mostly bench warming.

As for Boriello, I would rather pay an extra 5 mil and have the guy that has so far scored 16 Serie A goals this season in the squad next year rather then depend on Paloschi, who don't get me wrong I think is on the verge of becoming a great young player but I think he will benefit more if he goes on a loan. In any case, I don't mind if we have both of them, or if we have either one.

I didn't talk about the GK because I have no solutions for the position. As of right now Kalac is great, but will he carry his form on to next season or will he become the old Kalac where we used to pray that he doesn't play. Again, all of the keepers mentioned in previous posts would be great but I am actually starting to believe that we will stick to the current ones.

So all in all that is 6 signings out of which 4 or 3 would be in the starting 11. 4 if we can get both Pasqual and Zambrotta and 3 if we get Zambrotta only.

Of course it is easy speculating and playing a little fantasy football, but it surely will be an interesting summer.
