We'll just have to wait and see.
Of course if more players leave we would have to replace them. My point was that I don't think we need more than 4 strikers in the squad. And also bringing in both Torres and Tevez would be way too expensive, as I would like to see us strengthen other parts of the team as well. Like Buffon and/or Diarra.

But then again, I really don't see us sending Inzaghi to Atalanta. We need him, and he would not generate much money to spend on a new player.

We have been surprised before...

If we MUST buy 2 strikers then il go for Torres/Suazo option.
I would like that our management buy Torres and Diarra/Zambro if hes available.

Zambro? If you mean Zambrotta he's already left for Barcelona...

In the English press it says that Abramovich wants Torres to spearhead his strike force for Chelsea and that they are now at the front of the queue for the Spanish hitman.

Quite how this has happened i don't know. I also don't believe it at all. But it made me laugh and i suppose there could be some truth in their greed. It's worth keeping an eye on to see if anything else develops.

How can Ronaldinho be a replacement for Sheva if the play different positions?

He will be an addition not a replacement

Torres or Tevez could be replacements...

Im just not convinced about Torres, the funny thing is even though there are many doubters people will just come to the conclusion that Spaniards cant play in Italy if he does fail that is.

Teves fits into our team better than most.

i don't mind any top name striker... be it Torres... Tevez or Ibra... because if any sign for us... it means one thing to me... that is we are goin' to play in the CL... good enough for me... can just hope that the new signin' can perform for us... tho personally i would go for both Saviola & Suazo... cheap & available... leavin' us heaps of cash to bolster up our defence & midfield as well as get Buffon...

That option is as good as any i've seen so far. It's both realistic and financially effective for us.

The only down side to that is that we could end up missing out on two of the best striking talents around at the moment. Granted there is always someone else, but Torres & Tevez are both on the rise at the moment and to see one of our main competitors get them would be a chance lost.

well... not gettin' Torres or Tevez now is not exactly a bad thing... provided they don't sign for another club or extend their current contract... with one year of their contract ran down... we might even get them cheaper for season 07/08... afterall we will help Torres keep his word that he will be stayin' for 06/07... but he never said anythin' about 07/08 tho... =)

My preference is not to spend more than 15 mil on a striker. Save the money and try to lure Schweinsteinger from Bayern. This kid got the game to fit in the team well. Can be winger on left or right, even attacking midfielder in central. Perfect fit to partner with Kaka behind Gila or in a flat 4-4-2 if speed is needed on both sides. I am not a big fan of German players but I think he can play for Milan. Especially without Sheva and Rui Costa, I think the team needs more than Pirlo and Seedorf to take set pieces. I am not sure about Gourcuff... Serginho is decent but inconsistent. Who else can take set pieces?

Anyway, as for strikers... my preferences are Suazo (max. 12 mil), Ibrahimovic (max. 14 mil), maybe Cassano... Torres might not work well with Gila... I think they could overlap each other's position...

Oh... No for Ronaldinho unless it's less than 45 mil... That't it for now... Ciao

Exactly my point, if they do either of these things it will surely be seen as a chance missed by us to get one of the best two young strikers in world football.

Getting Schwiensteiger would be almost as difficult as getting Buffon or even Ronaldinho. Now Ballack has gone he and Lahm are surely their 'jewels' if you like. But i agree that getting him would be fantastic and probably more suited to us than Ronaldinho.

SChweinsteiger can stay in Bayern, there are many that can play as well or better than him and its not a hard position to cover.
On the other hand, its much harder to find very good strikers nowadays...

FWIW: Gila said he would rather have Torres than Zlatan, or at least that is what I read via the spanish press.
