Kaka' was simply too good to be benched. the man is better than Ronaldinho at this moment. On the other hand, Carlo benched Sheva at the beginning, remember? I dont thing Gourcuff can play in Milans first 11 right now. Maybe next year.

True kaka is indeed too good but that was exactly my point - if that youngster is indeed soething special, he WILL be give a chance by Carlo. The other point was that if someone is young, then carlo will bench him no matter what and he'll rot on the bench.
What is the best way to build a team that's always copetitive - chose the players based on merit or based on age? if a player is the best in his position and can contribute the most to the team's overall success, it won't matter whether he is 32 or 22 yo, he will be given a chance.

i don't feel like posting in this forums anymore due to people like GRE-NO-LI who seem extremely unintelligent in their posts.

Its only good posters like zlatanov that make me come back again and again.

Ancelotti choose the best players to play. If you are not good then you don't get to play, as simple as that. Do we want a coach to choose players based on merit or reputation? Kaka was so good that he get to play from the moment he is here. remember the situation with kaka, arriving here as a young player with no european experience and get a first team place immediately. If this guy is good then he would be able to get into the first team. If he is not good enough then he won't play. Milan is not a small team that train players for other teams. If you can't make it then off you go to gain experience and make yourself good enough. Let me make it clear once again, AC MILAN IS NOT A TEAM THAT TRAIN PLAYERS FOR OTHER TEAMS, only the very best would play.

ok noted. but posts that unreasonably attack our coach and players can be accepted? I feel that if you want to people to respect you then make your arguments and let people decide. I think it is clear that its not 1 or 2 times he attack our coach, players, club management etc, he is really pushing my limit.

Don't worry about it, I've been reading your posts since before I joined here and know you're not the type to kick up a fuss without reason.

I can understand what you're saying, but up until now, he has been giving his opinion on Milan, which abides forum rules. The way he presents his arguments may not be pleasing to members, but to stop him giving his opinion would be to go against the point of having the forum in the first place.

However, a suggestion would be to use the ignore function that is provided on MM if you don't want to read Grenoli's posts.

Dev/ hwmook,

that doesn't really work, I already tried... but then other posters will quote a previous post, and you can't avoid reading it, or be tempted to, just out of curiousity, open the Ignored post to see what else is there...

the only solution is to try to add quality to the post... meaning, at least add something interesting every now and then... we have threads where you need to think before you post, and some others where you can be silly if you want...

These days I'm becomming paranoid, opening threads like "MM Members Pictures" almost expecting to read things like "Our Board is Terrible" "We should have signed Sneijder" "Our transfer policy is a disgrace" right in between the pictures of a guy with his dog, and girl with her husband...

well, i have been here since 1998/99, posting under another nick which i have forgotten when i was in the army for 2 years.

Its wasn't so bad last time. People like to give their views, present their arguements in a nice way. i like reading the stuffs a lot of people post cos it improve a lot of my knowledge. But it just pain me to see people bashing our players for no reasons, even if they have played well.... I am an advocat of the Milan family thingy, we should treat the players like a family member, give them the chance to improve and prove their worth. Even if they betray us, then so be it. They just lose the respect and support from us.

The football that this milan team played is the best for the past decade so please be appreciative. i was here during the dark period when we were 10th and 11th in the league so i am really glad to see the kind of football that milan play nowadays. to come so close to winning the top prize in italy and europe every season is really nice.

I know the ignore function isn't ideal, but really thats the best I can offer at this point. Grenoli is entitled to his opinion (even if very negative) just as anyone else here.

Sant, you make a good point in that people should attempt to add quality here, if they want things to improve. Though I know Grenoli's opinions differ from a lot of us (including myself), he can argue his point in a reasonable manner if the person arguing against him posts their point of view in a respectable manner with reasoning as to why they argue against him.

Case and point, look at my discussion with Grenoli in the Favalli thread, where despite having differing opinions, there weren't any rash arguments being made. Showing a respect to other posters pays dividends in the quality of discussion on the boards. Some may come out with nonsensical arguments at times and if you don't agree, argue back in a respectful and reasonable manner, or just ignore that discussion best you can.

hwmook, I came here kind of for the same reason you did, and I do want intelligent discussions here like anyone else, including you. Unfortunately, not everyone will agree with the family environment, preferring a more business like Milan, which is fair. If you want people to stop bashing Milan, I can really only encourage you bring forward your point of view to try and get them to justify their argument.

Finally, Grenoli, I'm guessing you've seen the opinion some people have of your arguments here. I think its worth suggesting you provide reasoning with your arguments to explain why you think what you think, so that people will be able to discuss it further, rather than rashly posting up something which simply causes people to get offended. Of course, you don't have to, but it will help people understand your perspective on the club better and hopefully cause less personal issues being brought into threads.

Anyway, for those who have complaints, if its really bothering you that much, then pm me and I'll talk to the admins to try and find a better solution, until then though, lets stick to Gourcuff here.

Looks like we have finished off the deal for Gourcuff - he will immediately move to Milan for 3 mil euros. The contract will be for 5 years. The official announcement is expected to be ade either this evening or tomorrow.
