Well, this guy is soon to be a Rossonero (hopefully) and still there's no topic on him.

He plays for Rennes and is 17 yrs old and has a contract until June 2007.

Reports from recent days confirm that he said himself that his choice is Milan and he wants to play for us. Milan are interested in getting him to replace Rui Costa and are willing to pay around ~6m euro. People are already giving this kid the responsibilty of being the next Zizou (honestly, i think Ribery is the next Zizo, but I havent seen Gourcuff play yet).

Reports yesterday on Calciomercato say that the Rennes president quoted that they are in negotiations with Milan, and they are willing to sell him but they want us to loan him to them for another year.

Gourcuff's agent said that they will not do any negotiations with anyone only until the end of the U-21 championship, and France got eliminated 2 days ago. Now he is free to do any negotiations he wants.

In the next week I guess everything will be much more clearer, but it seems like he is heading to Milan.

Great stuff. I havent seen too much of this guy, but have certainly heard of him. Just saw the under 21 match between France and Holland. He was on only for the first half but seemed pretty impressive. Let's hope we get him. Cant wait for us to start signing some YOUNG, promising talent rather than 35 year old has beens.

First of all he is 19 and not 17. He scored 6 goals last year ta the french leage and was an importent part of realy good and young team the Rannes had together with John Utaka and Kim Kallstorm. Yesterday Galliani said that Milan are negotiating this transfer and it realy likely that he will join us. Its realy good to have a new blood in our prity old squad and as Rui went back to Benfica we must have an alternative on the bench for attacking medfielder.

wat we could use is someone like Lionel Messi...
i saw this french chap on the match too... seems quite good
against the dutch in his age group ( the dutch have the BEST youth system ever )
but i think we shouldn't expect too much from him too early as we did from Gilardino
coz they are still Developing and not yet the finished articles by far..

Few days ago I opened this thread but someone deleted it.....never mind now.
I havent seen him but IO heard from some oeople he can pass and move well, he has kind of "Zidane " style of play. We should sigh him. He can also play as a CM.

So do I, I would love to see a 'magical quartet' on Milan.

true but he seems to be 3-4 times more expensive than Gourcuff. Marseille are asking for ~20+ mil euros for Ribery.

What is the point of haveing him on the bench when Carlo is never going to give him a chance just because he is young and Carlo doesn't "trust "him. Marzoratti, Janku, Piazza etc these are few of the young players that Carlo called up into the squat during the 05-06 season and they never played just fullfilled the bench. Carlo sucks
