I will be calling them many worse names than that if we do end the transfer window without even putting an offer in for him.

Cole is a much better left back than Gallas and actually enjoys playing there too

Gallas is the better defender overall but Chelsea are looking for a specialist left back and will sacrifice him to seal the deal, if Milan came in for Gallas im quite sure now that Chelsea would either say no or would want to swap him (and knowing Chelsea they would suggest Gallas + £2m for Nesta ) much as i'd like to see Gallas at Milan i just cant see it happening.

Well if we buy Gallas off of them, they can use the money we give them and put it towards Cole, seeing as they're so intent on not budging from their initial offer of £16 million.

Everyone wins then. We get Gallas, Chelsea won't have to pay any more of their own money but can still get Cole and Arsenal get some cash ...

If only it were that easy.

after Arsenal's game against dinamo, i think they have no choice but to buy Gallas, because he adds more experience to the defence, which is needed and IMO Gunners won't miss Cole at all, because they have been playing well last season without him until CL Final

also i don't think gallas would be in Milan which i would love to see him there also, anyway let's see what will happen till 31st august

It is a bit of a change around in attitude from Cole. I guess he's given up hope of moving and has decided to knuckle down ?

This is probably way wide of the mark, but it's just something i heard. It's a slim possibility that Mourinho & Chelsea are willing to pay the full price for Cole but not until the last day of the season when Arsenal don't have the time to spend it. Far fetched i know, but it sounds like something they'd do.

On the other side of things, if Cole doesn't go that almost certainly rules out Gallas going to Arsenal (if that was a possibility in the first place), so maybe that might open the way up for us once again.

i heard another news that we might go for kaladze and Nigel Reo Coker( if man utd has bought hargreaves), honestly i think we should go for experience if we want to the title rather than relying on youth

besides why can't we just let reyes **** off to spain i am disgusted by his attitude

In the english papers on Saturday it was said that Arsenal were looking at Mascherano.

I hope that doesn't happen.

For my money, Arsenal need another striker. Henry aside, they don't have any real goal scorers.

In todays papers they are looking at Tevez

I think Adebeyor is a good striker and gives them something different but i dont think Wenger likes him as he doesnt fit into the whole walk the ball into the net philosophy le Gooners have

sorry for crashing like that... but I was wondering has Cole already left or is he staying or what...? and Reyes too...

and i'm also shocked by that kind of attitude from such great players. I really don't understand why they want to leave?! Arsenal is a fantastic club, there is no need for them to rebel!

I have always admire Adebayor becuase he brings an aerial threat to the opposition, and i think he will do well this season if he keeps on improving, IMO i don't think Arsenal need a striker

what they need is an experience defender and DM,but if both cole and reyes they might as well replace reyes

I don't see Adebayor as being a prolific scorer, which puts alot of pressure on Henry to score the goals.

Silva isn't getting any younger so i guess a new DM is required for them.

Absolutely! Everything seems to be working out! And now that Theo Walcott has made his senior England Debut, we should keep and eye out for him, it should be VERY exciting!!!

Don't worry about Abedayor. If he doesn't workout for him, Arsenal has PLENTY of options to compliment Henry whether it's Van Persie's finishing, Walcott's speed, or Batista's physical strength.

Gilberto should be fine in midfield assuming he's complimented with a calm midfielder like Fabregas. Fabregas is growing into quite an experienced midfielder, VERY important player to the squad, while Mathieu Flamini's versatilty helps plump the squad's depth. You're right, it's still tough replacing Vieira, but give Cesc some more time...

The thing about Arsenal is that they have a VERY young squad, incredibly young, but the pieces will fall into place slowly, and players will grow and mature.
