Gila!!!!!! but he couldn't get to the ball and it was a corner.

Seedorf took it but came to nothing.

PIRLO! But the Torino GK is ON FIRE and saved Pirlo's shot! Gila pounced on the rebound but he was way offside.

sounds like an encouraging 1st half and reason to be optimistic about gaining our first win at home this season.

Though obviously at 0-0, you can't rule anything out and we need to stay sharp

GREAT move by Pirlo!!!! It's a pleasure watching him cut through defenders like they're butter.....or move around them like they're cones....you get the point.....great idea by kaka....Gila

Gila really should scored one of those two great chances

now let's play like we played against Sampdoria in 2nd half

Torino played well. They let us have some place outside penalty area, but then they covered their half well. After Gila's first chance, he was marked tightly.

We were weak at wing attacking, Cafu was not dangerous, Ambro is not a winger.

My hope is on Serghinho at 2nd half.

agree with jim, but it is sad how when seedorf, our best player tonight, has the ball everyone is just standing and watching him play instead of running like crazy into free space...
gila. what can i say about this guy? he lost his instinct.
and kaka is playing like crap also tonight. unless they improve we can forget victory

Half Time Quick Summary:

Dida: Spectator. (NA)
Nesta and Kaladze: Doing well, especially Nesta who stopped a 1vs1 with Di Natalie! (6.5 / 6)
Cafu: Going up well but his crosses (if any) are awful. (5.5)
Favalli: Defensively prone, attacking-wise ok. (5.5)

Pirlo: The old Pirlo is back. Great control, great technique. Quite a good game so far. (6.5)
Brocchi: Just ok; attacking-wise contribute to nothing. (5.5)
Ambrosini: Defend well but attacking-wise contribute to nothing. (6)
Seedorf: Very, very active. Good game for him so far. (6.5)

Kaka`: Is obvious that he came back to midfield to get the ball more often, but his passes are awful today and is not on top of his game. He should have done better in multiple occasions. Two long-shots but both of which have gone to row Z. Surely better in the second half? (5)

Gilardino: Disappointing, although he is trying hard. The first chance was a confident shot, but it has no angle and it hit right into the Torino GK. He should have really scored the second one! Tightly marked by the defender, but attacking-wise he is active. (5.5)

Overall: 5.5 by Milan.

Decent first half on the whole. Gila's missed a couple of guilt edge chances which he should have scored, but I'm positive he can score today at this rate. The team isn't playing badly at all, but we need to take one of the chances. I'm happy though as Torino are defending deep a lot of the time, but we're carving through them like Ronaldo a Xmas turkey.

I'd also like to see us using the right a little more (we're mostly attacking down the left), as Torino's defence does look a little suspect. Kaka's definitely the disappointment so far. His passing hasn't been good and touches generally seem a little off. Hopefully he'll step up in the second half.

I agree; though I would say that Cafu + Serginho may be able to do the trick. Surely the cross has to be of better quality?

Maybe the Golden Ball put a great burden on Kaka, he was not concentrated sometime.
