I guess this is the final nail in the Gourcuff coffin. When he doesnt start with every offensive midfielder out, he wont ever start in a non-Coppa Italia match...

Only logical thing I can think of is that Gourcuff isn't performing at the level he should be in training, but you would think that Ancelotti had spoken to him about it if that was the case a long time ago. And if he still didn't get to the level required he would be told he should find himself a new club.
Looking at the official statements about Gourcuff it doesnt sound like the case, unless those are just empty words. However you have to wonder how much Ancelotti will change formation every time people are injuried just to not play him... |

This is a crazy line-up... the players aren't used to it at all, it's clear Gourcuff should have started instead of Serginho.

Gorky can play AMC or MC, so it is hard for him to gain a position because Pirlo and Max are unchangable for MCs of 4-4-2 formation.

inzaghi is our best player so far...sergio isn't bad either. defense seems shaky, leting siena too much space

Pippo has been pretty good but should have scored a great chance he had. Ambrosini also playing well but giving away too many fouls. Everybody else has been decent except Ronaldo and Brocchi who really haven't done anything yet.
