Milan vs Siena

9th February, Sunday 3pm game.

We are getting closer to our target of fourth place, we simply shouldn't make our lives hard by dropping more points. Fiorentina are playing a very hard game at Atalanta (we lost there) and Juve are playing away at Udinese (one of them will drop points so it will be good for us, but I prefer if Udinese win because I dont think Udinese can compete for fourth place really)..So this game vs Siena is a chance for us to even go up higher in the table..

Siena are on red hot form after recently beating Roma and almost beating Inter but the referees saved Inter for the 10th time this season. Inter are playing away to Catania, I honestly think its finally time for them to drop points but you never really know with Serie A.

We have an injury crisis as Pato, Kaka, Ronaldo, Inzaghi, Serginho and Gattuso are all injured and our only OK striker Gilardino is suspended. Life could be better I know but Milan always performs well when our backs are against the ropes, thats why I love this team so much

The fitness staff say that Ronaldo and Inzaghi should be ready for the Siena game but we will see. Ancelotti said that he will also call up Paloschi. I honestly think if Gourcuff doesn't start this game, he never will. We also have Marek Jankulovski back.

Gazzetta's predicted lineup:

------------------------ KALAC --------------------------

ODDO ------- NESTA ------------- KALADZE ------ MALDINI

EMERSON --------------- PIRLO --------------- AMBROSINI

---------------- SEEDORF ------- GOURCUFF --------------

------------------------- PIPPO --------------------------

Today Oddo had a fantastic game with La Nazionale who beat Portugal 3-1. He gave Ronaldo a hard time but Quaresma was fantastic (we really should try to go for him when we are renewing our midfield). Pirlo had an OK game too but he must be tired. I just hope Kalac keeps playing because he is in great form. It would also be nice to see Ronaldo play a little to get him match fit. I also hope Emerson takes the Pirlo role and Pirlo can drift to the right like the last two games, he was fantastic!!

Yeah, i also have heard that Pippo and Ronni will be fit for the sundey game and i can say that there is a great news. I think that with Siena this time we will not have problems, we are back in our great form Kalac made great saves, our defence didn't concede goals at 3 games, Emerson play fantastic also Pirlo and Ambro too.
Like you say Gorky must play this game so we can rest "Seedorf the best" so i will play with these eleven:

-----------------------Kalac-------------------------
Bonera---------Nesta-----------Kaladze---------Janku
-----------------------Pirlo--------------------------
-----------Emerson---------------Ambro-------------
-----------------------Gorky-------------------------
----------------Ronny----------Pippo-----------------

Masserman rules becose of him we will have our squad full for less then month
Thans Mr. Masserman

Bonera is right wing back why this will make you happy, don't you think that he will play better on the right side and Jankulovki on the left or Maldini, i think Seedorf mey be rest for this game.

No i think ODDO should continue to play, his form in going upwards so lets not stop it, he played couple of good games, and we are in desperate need of in form wings.

Pippo and Ronaldo participated with the whole group today in training, thats some good news Kaka is definitely going to miss the Siena game as he was also in Switzerland today with Galliani to collect our World Champions badge. I think it is a really nice thing and I am proud that Milan will be the first team to wear this badge. But will it be on all of our jerseys (Serie A and CL)? Will we see it for this game?

i still think that Bonera is better option because ODDO didn't have any usefull crosses and his shots alwais go too far and his defence is not so good as Bonera's and because we have problems with our attack it's better to play someone who have defences kvalities then attacking.
But this game Carlo must think of our midfield, we have better mid than siena and Pirlo, Ambro, Emerson and Gorky will win this game.

Yeah, much as I despise it, but I think it's very likely that Carletto send Gorky in the 2nd half if we fail to score in the 1st half.

..bonera...nesta..kaladze..maldini.....
...................emerson........
.......ambrosini..............pirlo...........
...........seedorf.....gourcuff......
....................ronaldo...........

Subs: Oddo, jankulovski, Inzaghi, Brocchi, Paloshci, Kalac

I doubt either Pippo or Roonie have 90 minutes in their legs, and I also doubt Paloschi will play. Siena are like Juve 2 and they will give 120% to beat us like they did against Roma.

We need to use players that had no int. friendlies on wednesday like Emerson ( who looks good in the last few games ), Seedorf ( who played 70 min in the last 2 weeks ) and Yoan who never plays. Those are 3 fresh players in the middle of the pitch. I dont know how fit is Pirlo, Carlo will know it better...

I don't believe we can put too much into Siena's thrashing of Roma. AC Milan is not Roma!

And Siena are sometimes a very lucky team.

They get into these insane streams of victories where they beat everything for 5-7 matches. Then they lose 6-1 to a bottom side with Chiesa curling a FK in the top corner.
