Milan's biggest need is getting rid of Dida. Period.

Dida is Dida keeps clean sheets in all competitions and we score no goals we would only get 38 points in Serie A and 6 points in CL... problem not solved...then Dida isn't the problem

Milan's biggest need is to get rid of those who won't get behind the players when they are playing bad games. These supporters certainly won't help.

Don't Blame Management

It's easy to criticise the policy now but 3 European Cup finals in 5 years is why management won't change what they believe to be a winning formula. Our squad has been exposed this season. Ronaldo's absence is a blessing in disguise because none of this would be an issue had he been fit. IF we don't make the right reinforcements in January then it's open season on the board.

Why not? people here are sooo fast to criticise Gilardino. Other than the champ league we havent won anything since 04/05.

Renember it was Galliani who got us the -8 penalty last year, and due to the managements naive behavior its making things stupidly hard for us this season.

yeah, right. what clean sheets?

have you seen last night's game? ANY average keeper would save both goals.

everything, even our patience, has it's limits. you are in denial, man. pretend it's good as much as you want, it won't make it better.

Ok, then tell me what you have on the table to make it better. Give me some realistic solutions, not just like "Gila SuX" or "Dida should never play for Milan".

What do you mean other than the Champions League? We've won it twice in 5 years, clubs like Man United, Barcelona and Juve have won it twice in 50! The fact that people keep downplaying our Champions League successes shows how spoilt some of us have become. As for the league in 2005-2006 we scored 85 goals and had the third best defence. Everyone knows Calciopoli was the only reason we didn't win the scudetto that season - just look back to the two games against Juve. Winning silverware and building fantastic squads is something that only happens in Championship Manager.

Galliani I will not defend, every second word that comes out of his mouth is a lie.

FFS what is this fascination with Zambrotta? He's 30, he had an average season at Barca last year and both Oddo and Jankulovski are better. You criticise the board for signing too many old players and want one who is as old as the other fullbacks and not as good.

I don't rate Barzagli. Napoli's defence has been excellent this season it may not be a bad idea to take a look at Paolo Cannavaro.

The funny thing is that whenever we do our ideas are criticized as being ridiculous by others (this is not an indictment against you Jeff because you don't really comment about which theories would succeed/fail )

Dida is NOT a bad keeper...but there are certain players that have certain strengths and weeknesses. There are MANY occasions where Cech and Buffon make comical errors....but these go unseen because there are other supporting players to help. Look at replays of Chelsea or Italy in particular and you'd see the sheer number of goal-line clearances that Makalele, Essien Terry and Juventus'/ Italian defenders.

Unfortunately, it seems that everyone understands that to score against Milan is a simple matter of working an intricate set piece. Dida- with his tic-tac sized attention span would easily be distracted by a decoy attacker (usually the first shooter) only for the real attacker to exploit the space.

The solution to this would be to have a real midfield dynamo such as Essien play for us. I suspect management recognised this need in getting Emerson but let's face it Emerson doesn't understand how things work at Milan. He is also too old IMHO to be the dominant presence that he once was. Gattuso really does his best and has the heart of a lion but he isn't athletic enough or technical enough....neither is he fast enough to do it all on his own.

The other problem is that our attack has no real bite....meaning that we're often forced to protect one goal leads...which are the hardest to protect (unless we're three goals up ) This again is because our midfield, while world class and superb- isn't.....or at least isn't PRESENTLY able to cope with the direction that modern football is headding. it's becomming more about speed and fitness than real genuine skill. It's hard to find anyone more skilled than Pirlo and Seedorf but their talents become suppressed when surrounded by much faster opponents...even if these are less technical.....I think if we have someone other than Kaka to get the ball up quickly (which, of course Kaka playing as striker doens't help), then we'd see more of a resurgence in attack......in other words we needed a Quaresma type player- at least until Pato is ready to play-which of course again doesn't guarantee success. Gorcuff adds nothing to our team that we don't already have because he's also quite slow.....add this to his inexperience and he actually becomes a liability, despite his unquestionable skill..
But don't worry like I said Ronaldo is going to help us out of this mess
