Juve and Inter clearly have some kind of a pact. Milan got away with only -8, and Juve doesnt want to negotiate with us anymore. ( s.... them! ). Now, if we cant sign Torres, or Tevez, or even Suazo, we need to change to 4-5-1 and buy some class CM like Diarra or something like that. But Diarra is going to Madrid, Rositsky went to Arsenal, and so on.... Its simple, to get top players we need to spend some money.
2 more weeks are left to do something, we just need to wait , becouse with this team, reaslistc, we cant win CL, not even scudetto.

Thought this might add some fuel to the debate...though he obviously isnt ready for Milan, I think he would be a good aquisition:

from skysports.com:

Quote:
Manchester United starlet Giuseppe Rossi has expressed a desire to return to Italy at some stage in his career.

Red Devils chief Sir Alex Ferguson prised the youngster away from Parma in 2004 and he has high hopes for the 19-year-old.

With Ruud van Nistelrooy departed, Rossi could play a key role at Old Trafford this season, but he admits that a return to Serie A is on the agenda in the future.

"My dream is to come back to Italy where there is a more technical and tactical football," Rossi told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"In The Premiership competitive spirit are the favourite, even if clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have changed their mentality."

Rossi grew up watching Dutch star Marco van Basten shine for Milan and he admits a switch to the Rossoneri would be a dream transfer.

"I have a liking for Milan, my idol was Marco van Basten," he added. "Then arrived Sheva (Andrei Shevchenko) and now I could see him even closer (at Chelsea)."

Rossi has been given the nod by Italy Under-21 coach Pierluigi Casiraghi and he is looking forward to the chance to represent his country.

"I'm really happy for the call-up," he declared. "It's a unique occasion and I want to play my best."
Always nice to know that a talented player loves Milan!

Do you honestly think, for a minute, that the team as it stands today wont be reinforced, even if we dont get into Europe?

2 weeks is an eternity in the silly season...

I fully agree: there's no way in HELL we could wait till january to pick the needed reinforcements, we must get them NOW, or by the start of 2007 we can be both out of CL and very low on Serie A standings. Without a replacement for Sheva and at least two new defenders or a defender and a midfielder, we can simply forget that season.

Disagree. We wouldn't be low on the standings even with the penalty.

Our top form players
1) Gilardino, Kaka, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Nesta, Kakha
+ subs/older guys
2) Ambro, Cafu, Seginho, Maldini, Dida, Inzaghim Vogel, Jankul, Costacurta

won't allow it. We still have a good team, perhaps not as good as others at the moment - but still a good team.

We *DO* need reinformancents, not arguing about that at all. I'm just saying we still do have a good team now.

Here could be the answer for who replacing Sheva: Milan is after another young brazilian who could be another Kaka:

From the few highlights I have seen of Sobis, he seems like a good player and he is extremely young. Tevez is also a very fine player, who possesses the characteristics to play next to gila or pippo. I would also like to bring to your attention, the young dutch forward Huntelaar. I saw the highlights of yesterday's Holland-Ireland, and this guy is a pure goal scorer. I also checked out some of his highlights on youtube.com, and I became very excited. He has scored everywhere he has been. Head, both feet you name it. He also bagged a brace for Ajax in their CL prelim. game. After the glory days of Van Basten, Gullit, and Rijkaard, I know we got burned with dutch players such as Bogarde, Davids, Kluivert(my least favorite player) and Reiziger. However, I think we should buy this Huntelaar and keep him in Ajax this season. He is only 23.

Since his transfer from Heerenveen, every major club has been after Huntelaar. Stam has already told Milan to buy him and that he'd do well here, but it's too soon.

Although by saying that i'm contradicting myself because i think we should bring in Sobis now even though he's not proven either

Torres or Tevez are only real solutions ofr Sheva's place. Torres has more phisical presence, can head better, and Milan will make more money out of him. But Tevez can play deeper roles, combine with Kaka' better, can play good defence, or even as a winger if there is a tactical need for that. Im for Torres, but since he is behaving liek a child and will not leave for Milan, Tevez is welcomed with open arms.
