Flamini was fantastic, definitely our best player for me.
Bonera is a good defender, but by far he has the worst offensive capabilities from all the defenders in the world...from his 12 crosses from the right, not even ONE of them reached our players.. pathetic! Hunter's miss at the end was heart breaking, he had a good performance in the game but unfortunately when we needed him to score at the death, he failed to do so. Boriello always likes to go for glory, he should have passed. Haven't seen Dinho frustrated like last night in so long, I hope he gets over it and returns to his good form. I hope his penalty miss has not affected him. Milan has 3 very solid CBs and not very great full backs, and two great defensive midfielders that cover alot of ground, I was thinking, why not play this formation against Man Utd? ---------------------------- ABBIATI ------------------------------ ----------- BONERA -------- NESTA ---------- SILVA ------------ --- FLAMINI --------------- PIRLO ----------------- AMBROSINI ---------------------------- SEEDORF ---------------------------- --- PATO ---------------- INZAGHI --------------------- R80 --- Option B) If there is no Pato --- simply put Becks in there as he will give balance to the side. Option C) Antonini can play if Seedorf can't make it. He can play on the left of a midfield of 4. Antonini, I think, is very important for Ronaldinho to perform well. He will need someone running behind him opening up spaces, either for him to run through or for him to pass. |

Flamini perefomance was gr8.. Pirlo I dont see why you guys think he was the best player yesterday? because of his last cross to H11? IMO he was not that good , a lot of long passes for no one... he should has been replaced with Beck not Flamini.. I am satisfied with the team performance ahead of Man utd.. and If H11 and B22 will start the man utd game then I hope there will be some tactical changes.. maybe we started yesterday with two strikers but tactically H11 was on the right, and R80 on the left, with this tactic i prefer to see Abate on the right wing. |

The other thing i left out from my earlier post was why was H11 made to play on the right. He s more of a centre forward than B22. B22 shud have been playing on the right given his ability to hold the ball.

In case Inter wins the next game,
we are 6 pts behind.............................. And their team is very stable. Considering it is a very tough mission to face MU in the coming week, we are unlikely to enter the next round. It means that we have no champions again. So, let us focus on the the ticket of Champion League next year. |

I dont want to talk about history and how did inter lost the scudetto in the last week 2001/2002.. everything is possible and its not hard to beat MU in OT.. so, lets hope that players will be in their top form against MU and no one get injured to win the scudetto |

I don't remember how many games (and they had X victories in a row), and that means something. We can't say "they are bad" because we were clearly better yesterday, didn't we play bad against Inter ? Does that mean that we played bad against other teams ? I don't think so. PS: Don't forget that two teams we beat 3-0 managed to beat Inter ...

If someonecan explain me ... And I wanted to watch Napoli for once against a small team to see if they play like against the big ones, and it's a totally different team (except in the last minutes of the game). Genoa has to win now if they want to stay in the race for the European competitions ... and allow us not to lose 2 points this W-E !! ![]()

Geo, I looked at the highlights for Bologna-Napoli but they didn't show that incident.
But from what you've said in your post, the only explanation I can give is: Offside is called when an attacking player is closer to the "attacking goal line" then the second to last defender, at the time the ball is played! So if De Sanctis was in the middle of the field and Napoli had another player on their own goal......that means that De Sanctis is now the "second to last" defender and that's where the offside line is. So the offside line always stays with the second to last defender (or you can say "second to last player" defending that half of the field as it doesn't matter if that's a field player or a GK) from the goal line. I am guessing this is what you were referring to. If it's not, then I guess i missunderstood your question so just scratch all this! ![]() By the way.....i know you knew the first part of the explanation for the offside, but I just had to start from the beggining.

Great!
Inter couldn't beat Genoa at their home court. And we got a draw to the third place Roma. Though it is NOT the prefect results, it is still a good news. The remaining matches are not easy to Inter. They will lose points. If Inter win most/all those games then they deserve it.
It's also interesting to note that we would be clear top right now if we hadn't lost both games against Merda.
