Providing they are not injured in same half of a season, I agree.

By the way, I don't say I don't believe in Nando. I can see the possibility Galliani & co. trying to force this deal and maybe actually make some offers to Liverpool, but now they need Torres more than ever as they're currently pass through the Europa League group stage and desperately need to improve their position in EPL. The only ways Milan can get him is when we pay big enough so Liverpool feel they could get a proper replacement with that amount of money (which means A LOT, and I can't see Berlusconi willing to splash more than 20M euros in winter, even in his craziest mental condition).

Btw, Torres will also be ineligible in CL, so that STILL left us with Binho, Ibra, and unhealthy Pato upfront.

You seem to forget the fact that the Reds need to sell due to their horrendous financial situation. This is mainly why Galliani saw an opening and decided to go for it. It is not a sure thing that they will pay very big money for him (look at the Ibra deal, 24 mln euros, enough said). Also, Torres is not at all inelegible in the CL, as Uefa regulations clearly state. A player who has played in the Europa League, is still eligible to play in the CL for another club. This is stated in points 18.17-18.18 of the regulations which took effect this year:

18.17 For all matches from the start of the round of 16, a club may register a
maximum of three new eligible players for the remaining matches in the
current competition. Such registration must be completed by
1 February 2011 (24.00 CET) at the latest. This deadline cannot be
extended.
18.18 One player from the above quota of three who has played UEFA club
competition matches for another competing club in the current season may
exceptionally be registered, provided that the player has not been fielded:
− in the same competition for another club; or
− for another club that is currently in the same competition
.
Furthermore, if the player’s new club is playing in the UEFA Europa League,
his former club must not have played in the UEFA Europa League at any
point in the current season.

Just for the record, if Torres was brought in, he would be able to play in the CL.

Nando, feel free to speculate and spread rumors as much you like, we've had plenty of folks coming in here claiming they have inside information.

And for that Ibra case, you were saying that you're friend was the only one who predicted Ibra coming in 3 weeks before the transfer? Well - sorry to disappoint you, but Ibra was linked to Milan ever since they bought Villa 3 months prior. Ibra - Milan was a pretty much predictable move by most people in the football world, the only thing that wasn't expected were the financial details of the deal. Just because you're friend managed to say what most of the people knew, does not make him have any superficial source.

Anyway back to the real stuff going on,

Constant seems to have been bagged on a 1.5m euro co-ownership deal. Good deal if you ask me. We seem to be linked with Ziegler and Poli. I dont want Ziegler, we already have on average left back in Antonini, the next one we bring has to be world-class.

Paloschi's 50% contract has been traded to Genoa for Palladino's 50%. Genoa now have 50% of Beretta, Oduamadi, Strasser, Zigoni, Boateng and now Paloschi.

This to me seems that Galliani is cooking a deal for Ranochia, which would be a perfect signing, for next year. He is young and i`m sure he won`t mind being a back up of nesta and tiago, plus he is that good you could give Nesta a rest every third game

I would more appreciate people with 'inside information' (it doesn't matter if it's true or not, since nothing is exact in transfer rumors) compared to people that only moan and bring nothing except "all news has been covered in many webs, that's old news', etc".

This is winter mercato thread and all news are rumours even coming from Galliani mouth. What fact is offcial thread IF (big if) the players has signed contract (We have experience regarding official news from Milan informed us that we have captured players but the end result was nothing. Example are Chissoko and former Empoli striker who bought by Inter).

What disadvantage from such 'inside information' is that crap websites could use that as main information for their next news.

Then would Cassano be eligible for CL (providing we do not buy Torres)? Because in Cassano thread the people repeatedly said Cassano will be ineligible. What's the difference between those two?

And how exactly he will fight Ranocchia's other 50% with Merda. It'll be tough.

As I said, he is cooking, still nothing official

How would he fight against Inter??!!! If we get the 50% from Genoa, than its a 50/50 battle. Currently I fancy my chances against Inter, seeing what a mess are they atm.

Well said. But at the end of the season, these teams end up in Serie B or mid-table. Why? because they lack the consistency to produce credible results week-in, week-out.

The difference is that Cassano has played the CL this season, remember the preliminaries against Werder Bremen still count as CL.

Hitman, you may try to discredit me as much as you like, but you are flat out lying when you say that from the moment Villa went to Barcelona we already knew that Ibra was going to Milan. That is crap. In fact everybody was speculating Dzeko would go to Milan.

Ranocchia is a very good possibiliti for the summer market. This is because first of all, Milan and Genoa have a very good relationship (look at the summer deals between Milan and Genoa for Boateng on loan, Amelia on Loan and Papa; we gave them Zigoni and Half of Strasser). For the record, Preziosi (the Genoa president), is holding Moratti "hostage" because he said that if Moratti wanted the player he would have to pay 6 mln now in the winter market and buy the entire 100% of the player, otherwise he said that Ranocchia would not move from Genoa. This is a strategy that could go to Milan's advantage because Galliani could try to bring the player in taking advantage of his godd relationship with Preziosi.

Mario Balotelli has been axed by Roberto Mancini for being lazy and miserable.
The Italian striker turned in an awful display for Manchester City in Monday's home defeat by Everton.

And Mancini said: "If Mario deserves to play he will play. If he doesn't deserve to play he doesn't play. If Mario doesn't work, he doesn't play.

"It's not important Mario has a good technique and is a good player. If we want to improve we need everybody giving 200 per cent.

"Mario is a special player but you have to put strength and heart into your performances."

Balotelli, 20, has started five of City's last six games but will be on the bench for their Boxing Day trip to Newcastle.

He has bagged five goals in nine games so far, but has also been red-carded and turned in some shockers while never looking like he is enjoying a minute.

Mancini believes Balotelli can be the best player in the world, but right now he has run out of patience with him.

The Eastlands boss added: "He must improve his situation and smile. I do not know why he does not look happy.

"Manchester is not like Milan but he has to accept it."

Mancini bought Balotelli from Inter Milan for £24million in the summer having worked with him at the San Siro.

And he said: "We do have a good relationship but he must play well, must work hard every day, like the other players."

Mancini has hinted captain Carlos Tevez should apologise to fans to help restore his standing with the City faithful.

Tevez withdrew a transfer request on Monday after a week-long wrangle.

Mancini said: "I don't know. Maybe he should apologise.

"It is now important Carlos plays well and scores goals. But the fans still love him."

Why should we do that? First, Pato is more talented than Balo or at least until now. Age difference play important role but I think they are in similar age (the difference is only 1 year). Second, Balo has problem with his character, just like the news said. So, I will definitely reject the option.

Honestly I don't believe super duper talented player but with low character, disciplined or behavior. As much as I hate Ibra in the past, he was different to players like Balo, Cassano, Adriano etc. Ibra has problem only with his ego (that he doesn't like to be treated without respect and a bit arrogant) which very little in influencing his performance, not with discipline, bad behavior or similar.
