I insist, again, we need rotate more.

Milan team got all the package, anything needed to win big games at any level;despite the fact that we lack offence options(tower center, speedy wingers)and depth(this year in particular due to the underperformance of our oldie wingbacks and injury problem in strikers department).but we are especially fatigue-prone,this problem hunters us in recent couple of years,I don't know why. Maybe we are not mentally strong;we have no excessive stamina;Carlo's character backfires team's will power;our superior skill is a twoblade sword, makes players rely too much on skills instead of intensity........I really don't know the exact conclusion for sure.

Here maybe the situation of this crisis; we had a bad game(bad form, happens all the time),we lost points.next week another draw (this time due to bad luck),the gap with title runners widened. we feel the urgency to net point in coming week, so we forced to field the same 11 guys. It's a bad cycle, our fatigueprone illness is eating us out. field fresh legs if just for odds-change sake, for god's sake also.

So I jump to this: Rotation may be an ultimate solution.About this specific issue, Liverpool's benites is the coach I admires most.he is a real master in tactics,I remember what he did at last year's CL final, he just virtually shut down our attack, switchoff our function mode, block our front connect.that's awesome,Sir furgesson can't do that.benites is also a advocter of rotation.he even obsessed with rotation to an extent that it's like an undenyable obligation.

Althought Liverpool's rotation is not an classic sample, they do encounter problems like team needs more time to melt into shape, players tends to lose chemistry when the lineup inserted half new faces three days just afer they play a fluient match. But they do managed to reach deep on various frontlines.

Guys, remember! what you are asking for milan team is a hattrick(or CL champion and seriea both) in a single season.Just what carlo tried hard in season04-05,but came up short a little bit.

To be fair the 2nd one was won mainly because of Carlo, not because of the management, he did miracles with the squad he had. Calciopoli or not they did it really bad on the transfer market last year and they did it even worse this one.
To me a team that is looking forward to January for re-inforcements (when not needed becasue of injuries but becasue of the performance) is a team that didn't do it so well when planning for the season in the summer, last January we had to buy 2 players (I'm not counting Grimi) and barely made it to the 4th place.
We got Oddo for pretty much the same price he had in the summer, so even knowing that Cafu was no longer the same we did nothing about it, to replace Schevchenko, who at that time was one of the best strikers in the world, we got Oliveira!, then when we realized that he sucks we got Ronaldo, who is still being good but injury prone, so again we let 1/2 season go on the striker department, no replacement for Maldini and/or Costacurta, no goalkeeper to challenge Dida, no one to step up in case of injury from Pirlo or Gatusso, and as expected we struggled all year long. Then there was the Athens night and the management had the illusion that we really are the best squad in the world when in reality we are a team that is screaming for replacements since years ago, they were arrogant and naive, giving many "if" for granted:
If Ronaldo doesn't get injured we don't need another Striker.
If Pipo can repeat Athens 30 more times this year we'll won everything.
If Dida can recover form we'll be fine, so no need for a good backup keeper.
If Gilardino can ever find the net again, If Maldini can play forever, etc.

To many questions and very little answers......and even when we all know that we can't win everything every year, we Milan fans (or at least this fan) expect to have a competitive squad every year, and is very hard for us to see our beloved team weakening and getting older with each passing year without a proper answer from the management, we are Milan damn it!! we are not Catania, Recreativo Huelva or Sheffield Wed or Sunday or whatever! As I said we are expected to have the elements to compete at a top level every year!

Sorry for the long post and for my exaltation, I guess I'm very frustrated, but I just can't understand why the management doesn't wake up.

As always:

Forza Milan!!!

NIce post will4li.

Rotation will work, yes, but then I dno't expect much since we have the likes of Cafu and Favalli on the bench who, unfortunately, seem not so ready to play a full 90 minutes.

Old age perhaps... but I guess it's more about the lack of enthusiasm....

I dont understand why fans criticise Galliani, AG is Berlusconis puppet.

He says whatever his master wants.

I guess the problem can all be trace down to club's general direction, save money at all cost. The one thing we have to realize is that Galliani and Berlusconi both know a lot more about soccer than all of us. They know or at least should know when and how to rebuild a squad. But why didn't they? Why aren't they signing great players when they clearly have the money and the need to do so? The answer is simple! They don't want to!

Winning the CL is just another excuse just like the Calciopolli scandal the year before management used to fool everyone. You are going to have to pardon me for not believing that Ibrahimovic signed with somebody else instead of us just because he couldn't wait for two more days. And as long as you can sign your check, how long does it take to bring in Buffon, Zambrotta and Gallas anyway? As for this summer, we pretend to spend all that energy and time on trying to sign a major star, but that logic makes no sense. When the first time you call Barcelona and they said their star is not for sale. Chances are, keep calling them for the next two months is not going to make the deal happen, especially if you are not willing to pay huge money for him. When the pretending game was over, management came out and use the CL victory to tell us to shut up and be happy with what we got.

Last year, before the CL final, I honestly thought that winning the CL wouldn't exactly be a good thing for the future of this team. And unfortunately, my prediction came true. I guess the only way for this management to get back on track is to have a few more disasterous seasons and the tickets sales starts to go down. Once the money stops coming in, they will start realizing their mistakes and try their damnest to fix it. Money is the only thing this management is concerned with right now and is the only thing that can affect their decisions.

There is no crisis, it is just a bad period that Milan is goung thru and it will go through
The solution for all of us is just to shut up and support the team,
Patience,Patience and Patience.
I will not be surprised if we beat Lazio on Sunday( which is by the way Dida's birthday)

So, when since has being financially responsible been a bad thing?

What would be better? Us having a bad transfer campaign, and a poor subsequent season, or for us to be relegated because we cant balance the books? Which, in the real world, is a real possibility.

I wonder why?

a) Because they are secretly Inter fans, who want to slowly kill AC Milan?
b) Because they are stealing the money generated by the club?
c) Because they are total idiots?
or (d) Because they are misers?

I see you have important contacts with Ibra, Zambrotta, Barca, and Arsenal, who are sharing information with you that no one else knows.......not only that, but u obviously must be on Juveīs board, or know someone who is, to know all these details about our transfer, or non-transfer activity.

And I know you dont. So, you are speculating, and with no solid facts upon which to base your claims/accusations.

If we are to believe what we are told, (re Ibra) its because we wanted to show faith in Gila...a perfectly understandable stance when u have just paid a huge amount to sign what was widely considered, Italyīs next "big thing".

How many times did Abramovitch call us for $heva? How many times did we tell him, "No thanks"....and did he get the player in the end? Hmmmm I wonder? And you know we were not willing to pay huge money for him? You know it was all a pretense? Surely you can share your source for all this inside info?!!!

You really believe what you have typed here? If you do, then, my question is: Why? Followed immediately with: Are they stealing Milanīs money to support their drug/lifestyle/secret arms deals?

Do you even know the paltry sum we earn from ticket sales? The seasonīs take from ticket sales couldnt even play the players salaries!

The management of the club wants nothing more, IMO, than for the club to be successfull....otherwise Berlu would not have bought the club in the first place (yes, we all know it helped him politically, but surely he could have spent less money, and acheived the same result otherwise?)..and not only buy the club, but pump millions of pounds/dollars into it? Clubs rarely give a return on investment financially...Berlu basically has been spending his own money to help maintain the club/purchase new players(....Rui Costa being one, Weah, the Dutch Trio... $heva as well....) for YEARS....

But no...lets blame them for all of Milanīs woes...not Pippo and Gila who cant score, not Kaka who has missed sitters in the 6 yard box, not Dida who is good for conceding a goal a game, not Ancelotti whose reluctance to play Gourcoff is costing us dearly....

No, lets blame Berlu, and his mouthpiece, Galliani, for all of Milanīs problems....dont blame Merk, the idiot ref who allowed Celtic to manhandle our players, or the nitwit refs in the Serie A who cost us points vs Catania...as well as at Palermo....

No, its easier to blame Berlu...because the buck stops with him...

In truth, IMO, the people most at fault here, which few, if anyone has mentioned, is Milan Lab...because rest assured, if Ronaldo were fit, and playing, talk of a "crisis" at Milan would be surely directed to the Blue and Black side of the city.

Suffice it to say, that after recovering from the defeat at Celtic, I have a renewed vigor and belief that this side can still play great football, and win games....and maybe we will start at Lazio...maybe we wont...but these are the same players that played Man U off the park, and contained Liverpool in Athens...come Jan, with a few purchases, we can be back on track, if the this early haemmoraging can be contained.

Management made some mistakes: Not buying any LB or RB, and in not getting another experienced striker....knowing of Ronaldoīs frailty....however, predicting injury is a completely inexact science...and after all the treatment, who would have thought that Ronaldo wouldnt be able to start the season? Therein lies our problem...and the soloution to same.

Plus, its better to have these hiccups now, when they can be rectified, as opposed to the knock-out stages, where recovery would be much more difficult.

Regarding Ronaldo, predicting injury is not an 'inexact science', but an almost sure thing.

Indeed Nordahl...but for him to be out at the start of the season, after all the wonderful results of the thyroid treatment etc? No one could have predicted he would not have been able to play at least the Sept/Oct matches. No one.

Warro, i know you can't predict injuries but you can prepare for them by making a squad able to cope should something happen. Even i, with my limited knowledge of football management can see that having only 3 genuine strikers in your squad (Ronaldo, Inzaghi & Gilardino), of which 2 are injury prone and 1 has lost his confidence, is not enough to stretch through an entire season.

That is a genuine and quite a glaring mistake.
