AC Milan v Celtic

Hi, I've just found out that I wasn't able to get a ticket among the Celtic supporters for next Wednesday's game but the flight and hotel are booked, so Milan here we come!

I will have my son with me and we will be wearing Celtic shirts and we will be trying to get into the game. Given all of that, where would be the best part of the stadium to try to get tickets and can I get them officially. If not is the best place to buy from a scalper outside the stadium?

I can't wait to see the San Siro. I hope it's a game to remember.

Tom

Welcome to our forum Tom.

I have to say that Celtic fans sure are passionate. I cannot remember a time quite a few fans from a different club popped into our forum.

You will have to wait for Giovanni to post in this thread. He goes to Milan games frequently so he is the best man to help you out. You should be able to get the tickets from outside the San Siro but they will be black and cost you more. Do post your impressions of your first visit to the magnificent San Siro and I hope that you and your son get the tickets for the match.

However I do hope that my club wins this game and gets the essential 3 points.

Check into the discussions forum: there are half dozen threads on this match and another half of threads on tickets for cl matches as well

there you will find your answers

plus, there's a sticky thread: ATTENDING MILAN MATCHES into that forum.

If youhave other questions, ask.
Scalpers are quite efficient in Italy anyway. It's very easy to find tickets, about the price is on you and it changes according to the availability and the importance of the match

Only Italians could brag about having "efficient" scalpers!

Thanks for the info. It'd be nice to get tickets before travelling but if the worst comes to the worst it sounds like we'll be able to get tickets outside the ground.

There will be at least 10,000 Celtic fans at the game - maybe more. Celtic fans are certainly passionate but I'm sure you'll find that we are friendly as well. I think the sales of Peroni will also increase that night! I'm sure it will be a great game as Celtic always give 100% and after losing to Barca in the opening match we need to get some points away from home. That being said Milan are a great team so we will need a fantastic performance to take something from the match. I'm hoping Shevchenko has a bad night!

My son had been saying before this season started that he would love to see a Milan derby and it would be great to go one day so when Celtic drew Milan in the CL we booked the flights immediately! At least we will give you more of a game than Inter

Thanks Giovanni. You've posted a lot of good stuff already in answer to other questions which has been really helpful so I'm sure we'll be alright. However, if you do hear anything in particular about this match I'd appreciate any advice.

We're planning to go straight to the san siro in the afternoon as soon as we've checked into our hotel. If we get tickets early we'll go on the stadium tour - I'm getting butterflies already thinking about the match. I don't think there is another group in the CL where all of the teams are supported so passionately. It's a shame we all can't go through!

Hi Milan Stars. I am really sorry you had a bad time at the Roma game and I can only imagine that was because you ended up next to some idiots which as you say, every team has. Also, being in the USA the crowd would be made up of ex-pats rather than the normal travelling support. I was in Seville with around 70,000 other Celtic fans for the UEFA Cup final against Porto a couple of seasons ago. Most Celtic fans were there for 3-4 days and there wasn't a single arrest - and we lost!

It was a good goal against Barca - it was a just a shame there weren't three others to go with it.

Come along next Wednesday and see if we can convert you!

Hail! Hail!

As celtic are coming said milan stars, true Celtic fans are decent bhoys and ghirls and don't cause trouble. The ones that go week in and week out, and those who may rarely attend a game or never even but support them in their own way. As CRC said those in america were not the celts fans you saw at seville. Anyway you did say you were there for the As Roma match and we saw what a shower of scum some of their fans can be so who is not to say that the Roma fans started it.

And yes CRC Paolo and Balde--------Get past that!!!!

almilan is an unknown quantity at this point
paolobalde: out of curiosity with paolo representing paolo maldini, milan and balde representing bobo balde celtic who will you be supporting next wednesday?

milanstars: as regards celtic fans there are normally well behaved, full of passion but good natured who like a few pints. i think uefa gave them an award for their sporting behaviour at seville

both clubs fans sing you will never walk alone which is unusual . its sung at every celtic game and it was certainly sung by the milan fans at a milan juve match i was at.

You're right AlMilan, the Celtic fans won both the FIFA and UEFA Fair Play Awards that year, the first time they had ever been awarded to supporters. I don't know if you can post links here, but if it works the link below takes you to the FIFA story.

http://www.fifa.com/en/mens/awards/i...rticleid=73589

I think that on Wednesday night the San Siro might witness its loudest ever rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone"! This is one of Celtic's traditional songs and we always sing it just before kick off.

I can just say i can't wait for this match: Milano will welcome all the fans from UK, even tough at San Siro there will be some usual anthems against, but it happens with every opponent in CL. That said, i've always seen a lot of respect for the scottish football and the scottish/irish supporters as well. So, i believe there'll be a great atmosphere of passion at san siro on wed.

Our team is not is great shape lately , but let's see if the CL anthem can wake up our guys! That said, i wish you will enjoy the atmosphere and a great match, and suggest to have a walk inside the city esp in the club zone and in the center, where there are some of the best club in europe, if not the world, many of them owned by stylists are unbelievable and open to the crowd, not exclusive! better to ask some people from Milano, but here a few:

HOLLYWOOD, DE SADE, OLD FASHION, BORGO DEL TEMPO PERSO, C-SIDE, ALCATRAZ just to name a few.

After having helped you with the tickets and the infos, we expect at least a report of your adventures during the trip, which are always very very enjoyable stories!!!!
