Robinho

I'm quite new to the board and have not noticed much discussion on this lad, IMO he is outstanding and probably the best young striker in the world. He reminds me of a young Ronaldinho but better, he certainly has the tricks and a better goal scoring ability.

At the moment he is dying to get away from Santos due to the kidnap on his mother and he is in the shop window for 14M according to his agent. Chelsea and Real Madrid have been in talks with him already although I feel Milan would be a far better option for him, as he will know Kaká from the time spent in the National squad with him and they will of built up a good understanding between each other. He is still very young and the language barrier at Chelsea could affect his potential and playing ability. At Real he'd be competing with Ronaldo, Morientes, Owen, Raul......where as at Milan he'd get a fair crack of the whip.

An attack that consists of Sheva and Robinho with Kaká behind would be the best in Europe IMO and one that could be built-on for years to come......Galliani get the money out.

Opinions?

Adriano... Robinho... who are we? Brasilian NT....
We represent Italia so the best choice is Gila, take Borrellio back or even Cassano...

BTW, real has a strong link already wit him so... forget him......

Sheva and Robinho would be very nice indeed. What I like about the upcoming transfer market is that there are so many good striker options on the market, should Crespo indeed go back Chelsea at the end of the season.

Robinho, Torres, Bojinov, Gilardino and Cassano would likely all do well next to Sheva, but at the end of the day Torres and Gilardino seems the most likely options given circumstances.

Robinho seems impressive, but I haven't seen him enough to make a firm judgement.

As for forwards, Gilar seems most realistic at the moment, but personally, I dream of Adriano or Tevez (I know about the attitude problems of late, but its not as bad as Cassano and shouldn't be a major issue if he does come imo)

Everything I'm hearing seems to indicate Chelsea are in pole position for his signature.

However, he has indicated a desire to one day play for Real Madrid.

I thought that was the deal anyhow. We got him for just this season milan doesn't have a buy option or am I wrong?

It is a one year option, but it could be extended if both clubs agree. Not likely to happen though, I imagine

They don't particularly want him, and he doesn't want to go back.

Either he signs for Milan permanently, or finds another club (most likely in Italy, though a Spanish move isn't out of the question)

We may represent Italy but I feel our priority should be the results on the park no matter what nationality the players are. Pele has come out today and said Robinho will be his "successor", you don't get that kind of plaudit if your not special.

Although Robinho has also come out and stated he wants to join Real Madrid, it could all changeas a week ago Real were in pole position, then it was Chelsea and today it is back to Real.

I wouldn't really make too much of Pele's comment, he comes out with something like that about every month or two. Good example is he said the same about Adu a couple of months back.

Mk, I guess Etoo and Robinho are similar in a lot of ways, but Etoo is physically a bit bigger and stronger, while Robinho is probably a little more skillful and better at taking players on.

If Italy can't produce Adriano, Robinho type of players then we'll have to look elsewhere for them.

Wrong. Robinho lacks the physical presence of Eto'o. Robinho is basically a small, lightweight guy with extremely quick feet and Garrinchaesque dribbling abilities. Think of him as a young Denilson. Entertaining player, though I don't think his style of play is suited for Serie A. He'll be better off playing in Spain.
