Dida eyes Milan praise

Milan Vice-president Adriano Galliani believes that goalkeeper Dida is undoubtedly one of the best in the world.

"I no longer need to keep referring to Dida. He is an extraordinary champion and a key element in our success," stated the official.

"We have great players in attack, in midfield and in defence, but we also have a fantastic goalkeeper."

The Rossoneri chief praised the Brazilian shot-stopper after another excellent performance last night.

The South American, who has been in good form lately, was one of the reasons why his side collected a 0-0 draw at Celtic.

The 31-year-old has been with the club since 2000 but it took him some time to prove his worth.

He initially struggled to settle and even returned to former club Corinthians on loan for a season.

However, he was recalled by the reigning Scudetto champions and has impressed immensely ever since.

He’s been so good that Italian international Christian Abbiati has spent the last two seasons on the bench.

dida is the worlds best... id rather have him playing for milan rather than have buffon + 5M for myself there.

dida is a legend, most people might think buffon is the best keeper but i wouldn't swap dida for anyone. Its not just his performances either remember against roma last year the way he stayed on the pitch with loads of objects continously be thrown at him after been hit twice by objects from the roma fans. Not many people would have been brave enough to do that

it will be a sad day indeed but he has plenty more years left in him. if anything he seems to be getting better each season.

I still remember his save in our game against Ajax 2 years ago, when he stoped I think Van der Vaarts shot from 3m......
