What number shirt did Papin wear during 92/93 season?
I've just bought a shirt from the above season and am going to put Papin on the back......Any other suggestions? Cheers Mike |

I think that in 1992/93 there where no official numbers given to players. But I think Papin used to play with the no. 9 even because Van Basten that season played little due to his injures

Personalised shirt numbers are only introduced in Serie A in 1994/95 season. Before that players wore the traditional 1 to 11 shirts.
Papin has worn: number 9 (when van Basten was not playing) number 10 (when playing alongside van Basten in attack) and number 11 (when used in a 3 man attack with Gullit & MvB) If you have an old shirt from the 92/93 season, I suggest you print van Basten instead of Papin.

I suggest having number 9 or 10 without a name printed. That way you can say you have Papin's/MVB's shirt or Gullit's/Papin's shirt

Yeah..and Pancev was ahaid of him too..he was runner up, and then Savicevic.
My dad has all the Red Star games from 1991 recorded, the big ones..what a beauty to watch.  |
