Geez, Henrik, is it a competition between you and Goirre to see who can open up the post-match thread the fastest? Or could it be that I'm just slow...

Anyway, here's what would have been my post there:

The draw is on Friday, March 18. (This is in response to autumninchicago's question.) I'm not sure I want Lyon!

Ancelotti is in big, big trouble. Berlusconi doesn't want him playing with just one striker, and now Milan had no strikers at all for the last 15 minutes!

Man U played better than during the first leg, but so did Milan IMO.

Crespo's header was truly wonderful, from one side of the goal to the other. Howard wasn't to blame.

We were by far the better team again. The midfield was very dominant, although we gave away to many sloppy passes at time.

Man U were rubbish again. Van Nistelrooy made a complete mess of the couple of chances he had and I'm not sure Rooney touched the ball in the whole 90 minutes. The two players trying hard for them were Giggs and Scholes. Ronaldo looked dreadful and his shooting was laughable!

Gattuso our man of the match. I loved it when he shouted 'come on' at Heinz after a very strong tackle, and when he was getting the Curva going by waving his arms at them! No way is he going to Man U!

Yes, and I draw the quickest in this town.

Agreed, but I haven't seen the Lyon game yet, will watch it later tonight, should be a cracker.

As long as we win, Silvio won't mind I am sure. But 5-5-0 was a bit on the defensive side...

Van NissanToy (not funny, I know) and Rooney did absolutely nothing in this game. Giggs and Ronaldo did well as in the last game. Milan's defens and midfield ruled as last time, except for one mistake on Giggs cross/shot.

Bring it on, is all I can say. Bring it on

Yeah, but don't forget that Lyon lost at Caen at the weekend. They're a good team, but I'm sure we can beat them, and Dhorasoo will definatly want to play in that one!!! I imagine Werder Bremen knew they were already out of the competition and didn't turn up mentally on the night. I'm sure they won't score 7 against our defence at the moment.

i didn't get to watch the game ... so i have to wait for the highlights later on this evening. But well done guys, great result ... everything i've read seems to suggest we were in almost complete control of this leg, if not the whole tie ... and if that was the case then we deserved to go through.

Forza Milan

I feel sorry for Man U now it's over, I would like to see them lift the CL under fergie one more time, but really they didn't come even close to winning that tie, totally out played in both legs.

one big hurdle cleared, still dosn't look like it'll be any easier Lyon and Chelsea both look incredible. (it would be brilliant if Crespo put Chelsea out like he put Man U out)

Loved the twin slides by Stam and Nesta on RVN on one of the rare occasions he got near the ball in the penalty area.

Loved Cafu laughing at C. Ronaldo who was getting all het up.

Didn't love the way Keane tried to break Maldini's legs, but loved the way Maldini leapt over the tackle like a 16-year-old. Now that's a real captain.

Can we get Heinze next season? He's apparently feeling a little lonesome in Manchester. (This from the latest "UEFA Champions League Weekly.")

i don't care who we get next as long as its not, chelsea or arsenal, i don't want anymore annoying english fans on our website!! and great defence performance by us tonight, and we weren't to shabby going forward either, yes man u had their chances, but there is no doubt that the right team went through.

One word comes to my after this match: PROUD !!!

and thatīs excactly what I am of the whole team and Carlo after seeing us virtually outclassing United in both matches. Itīs no shame to loose to a better team, and United learned that after meeting us.

I you visit some of the United forums you will also find that most United fans just say that they actually had no chance. Of course they had some chances that could have turned things around but overall the two teams were at two different levels.

MOM: the whole team, with Gattuso, Stam and Kaka among the best - but really we won in both matches as a TEAM.

Well atleast Barca are out. They were the team I thought were going to be the hardest to beat. Still, tough competition awaits.
