CL quarterfinals: AC Milan -vs.- Inter (ALL comments)
I am really really sad that one italian team has t........, i mean, i am really sad inter will have to go out of champions
![]() one thing to keep in mind is that: remember last year, Chelsea vs Arsenal in the Quarter-finals? Also it was some-what of a London-derby. Arsenal always always used to be Chelsea, I think it was like 21 games Arsenal were unbeaten by Chelsea with 17 victories! but when it mattered the most, Chelsea beat Arsenal at Highbury! I mean, ofcourse Milan-Inter are no Chelsea-Arsenal, we are nothing near the poor level of English sides, we are totally superior to them.. but still.. its just something that worries me.. after all these wins against Inter, believe you me, Milan will not win every single derby for the next 10 years, eventually, we will lose, I just hope that time has not come yet. I really hope Ancelotti goes for an attacking formation as Inter's defence is crap. Also another note: Kaka always performs amazing on Derbies, so Kaka fans should watch the games. Its great to play the first leg Milan vs Inter and 2nd Inter vs Milan. As we know, its easier to play the 2nd leg at home so you can control the result, and know what you need to win. But, this could be an advantage for us, because we will be playing the return leg at home (San Siro), but, all of our goals will be considered as away goals (ironically). I think that would be our advantage. I hope our defence doesnt get injured until then, I would like to see an organized defence just like the Milan-Barca game and both games against Man United. We surely can stop Adriano, remember Milan Inter in Serie A in October? Adriano was on his best form, Nesta totally erased him off the game . I am sure we can contain their strikers. Martins speed is what worries me, I just hope Maldini doesnt mark him. Ofcourse Maldini will beat him to most of the balls, but eventually at one time, Martins will use his speed to pass Maldini. But im still confident as we have Stam .Another thing to be worried about, is that the only team this season to obviously control a game against us, was Inter. But another thing that is good for us is that we are the only team this season to beat Inter, in the game that they controlled against us (which can lead to ppl thinking that even an off-form Milan can beat an on-form Inter).Prediction? 1st leg: Milan 6-0 Inter (Sheva hat-trick, Inzaghi hat-trick) 2nd leg: (if Simic plays) Inter 3-6 Milan (Simic hat-trick of own goals, Kaka hat-trick and Nesta hat-trick :P) haha jk my real predictions would be 1st leg: Milan 1-0 Inter and milan playing very boring defensive tactics with a goal coming from Kaka. 2nd leg: Inter 1-1 Milan with a brilliant Sheva goal, which would be the only attack we had all game.. |

This is really the worst draw it could have happenned to us. I'm risking a heart attack. Here are my views:
1: Inter will be looking for revenge for what we have done to them 2 years ago and in the recent derbies. 2: A derby has NO favourties, it can finish either way and what anyone has achieved unitl today is to be cancelled. 3: 2 seasons ago our team was at the beginning of the cycle, today we can controll our pressure better and we're more mature. 4: Inter in this years CL have met Valencia, Porto and Werder Bremen, teams that this season lost a lot of their potential. They haven't met any Man U or Barca, IMO this is their 1st real test for them. 5: Ancelotti has always sufferred Mancini even when he was at Lazio. I.e. the last 3 games between Ancelotti and Mancini where like chess games. 6: We're better than than as collctive and even individually, while Inter's defence is very shakey.

We all know this is different Inter team, so what? Milan have proven this season to be calm in big games, and we have always gotten through convincingly in big games. If I'm not wrong, Milan were the first to beat Inter this season. Milan is a far better team than inter, and once again we will win, though it might be tough. In all sports as some of you can attest or have witnessed, getting over or beating a team that has always beaten you(as we always do Inter) is a very hard task. Inter can come all pumped up that this is different game, but at the back of their minds their is always disbeleif and agony. They are always unsure of themselves, and this just plays into our hands. My predicition, Milan will win the quraters then go on to beat PSV/LYON. then we will face Bayern in the final. And we will win the seventh.
Guys remember we are the best team in the Serie A, and we play discplined, creative and tactically aware form of football. Inter will crumble as they always do. Forza Milan

I have to say that when I heard who we got in the draw I wasn't that worried, and sort of took it as a good omen for us, as we met Inter in the CL the last time we won it!

Guys, what is this? Most people here just go on whining about the draw and act as if Milan is some second string classless team like their future rivals from across town. Fo Christ's sake start acting like proud Milan fans and remember that we are the team others should and do fear - we are the team to beat in the CL and not Juve, Chelsea, Bayern, not to mention the we-are-so-fu_cked-up-as-a-team bunch of soccer players often refered to as Inter. I am not sure why most of you people are so scared for there are probably 3-4 better teams in the CL we could have drawn. Stressful derby? You are the ones who make it sound stressful with your constant whining and too much newspaper reading. It is just a game like any other, a game vs a team that is 16 poits behind us in Serie A, a team we have gotten 4 points from in our direct games in the Serie A regardless of Adriano playing or not, and finally a team that is not even among the top 4-5 teams in this year's CL. Even Lyon would beat the crap out of this pseudoteam of underachievers.
For god's sake get yourselves together and act with some dignity. You are Milan fans after all but act just like Inter fans should and do. Last edited by zlatanov; 18-03-2005 at 15:48. |

We will know more, closer to the game. Anything can happen, injuries, taking control of the Scudetto or giving the lead back to juve
I didnt want Inter, but at least they arent a side who can exploit the space behind Cafu and hopefully Maldini at left back because they dont play with wingers this season, or at least not against Milan. Adriano and Martins are a real pain especially Martins who is a serious live wire. I think Stam and Nesta would be perfect. It was strange for me as a Milan fan to see inter dominate us in the last derby especially since the way results have been going in the last few years. With sheva back at least the midfield Inter will have to worry about him and we really need Kaka to find his form back. No one can deny it will be a tough tie, but we have everything in this team to win.

I would have preferred this match further on in the competition.
But nothing like the thrill of a derby (and two legs at that). It will be tough, but (like always) we will kick Inter's arse all the way...... ![]() |

Inter weigh much more than Manu, remember the last derby? It's much harder than the midweek game. Sheva, Kaka and Seedorf are the names can encourage me to expect.

This is EUROPE. This is our playground. Always remember that. Derby or no derby. This is the UCL.

Quote:
I am growing tired of all the comments stating that the momentum is in Inter's favour "because they haven't won a derby for so long" What kind of crap reasoning is that? Momentum is on Milan's side because:1. Our record in Europe is vastly better 2. We have won our last 7 competitive games 3. We regularely whop Inter's behinds Let's not be arrogant, but confident. We can and will win this QF ![]()

but even if it, the pendulum I mean, swings to the other end of Milan, please don't dispair - there is always next season, after all.
