What is wrong with seedorf???

Really, what is wrong with this guy? He is becoming even slower than last year. And he looks soooo heavy!! looks like he has no motivation to go on or his time passed by, but he is still fairly "young".
So, whats wrong?

I agree but some of this is the coach fault. He should motivate the player and he should make him work harder for his starting place. I feel that seedorf is to secure when it comes to his position. No matter how poorly he plays Carlo don't have the caurage to put him on the bench and use rui or janku for that matter.

in all seriousness in pre-season from what ive seen hes been involved with a lot of our decent moves however if there is a problem its his j-lo style butt which renders him from moving about the pitch in a "normal" fashion.

hes never been one for speed and the same could be said of pirlo, however they more than make up for it with there speed of thought on the pitch which enables milan to play the exciting short passing football we`ve all come accustomed to in recent years.

i think the real problem for milan is re-treating into defensive formation. whenever we lose the ball on the pitch it always seems that pirlo and seedorf are some what limping back into position. if they can improve this we`d be alot better.

with Rui Costa and Serginho playing like Devils this pre-season.. Im sure Seedorf is getting worried.

Not to mention Jankulovski who was bought to compete with him.

Milan have done everything possible to motivate Clarence. Its all up to him now.

He's still good though.

Wauw, Seedorf is really coming under fire from many of you guys. Is he really so bad? Okay, he is not the most fast player in the world - but then again, he has never been. However, I think his positioning and passing has always been good. His only problem is that he sometime plays the difficult passes, instead of making it simple.
Let's wait and see until the season starts. Then we can judge him.

What worries me is not Seedorf's pace. Seeforf is not the fastest, but he sure as hell isn't slow at all. What really worries me is that he is starting to show the inconsistency that he was so famed for at Madrid and Inter. In his first season it was probably his most consistent season I have ever seen. The season before last he had a horrible start but started getting better at the end. Last season he was looking like our best player at the start of the campaign but slowly faded away with others like Kaka. I hope the cycle has ended and after pre-season Seedorf will start becoming a crucial key player stealing the limelight again.

I agree with Milan4eva (sorry, I know you told me to call you by your name, but I've kinda forgotten it, bad memory ). My biggest fear about Seedorf is his inconsistency and it seems to have gotten gradually worse during his time at Milan.

I will continue to support him, but I have a feeling his career at Milan has now passed its peak (which I believe was probably the latter half of two seasons ago) and it is important to consider alternatives to him in the squad. I mentioned in the Juve-Milan Berlu cup thread that I think based on his preseason form and form towards the end of last season, Rui could well step up and play more often this year instead of Seedorf. Serginho (like Shevchenko-[7] said) is another alternative to fight for that position.

However, if all three are on form, Seedorf is probably the best suited for it with his well balanced ability, strength and experience in the position.

Seedorf Is a bit lazy for me people he doesnt run much which isnt good for a left midfielder the wing players for me should have pace and stamina he is anyways center mid but he had too adapt to left mid i think he just hasnt adapted well but i must say pirlo is for me better center mid so he dont really have much space should be on Bench

Im afraid that if seedorf doesnt find his form or at least play decent football, we will have some serious problems in midfield, specially in defense. Becouse pirlo and seedorf arent playing defence that good, and it looks like seedorf isnt really interested donig that. Even kaka plays better when we are trying to take the ball away. So, my solution is, for next year...Rothen... he will play like devil on the left side of the pitch. Cross,shot,defend....

i like the idea of rothen...maybe as a replacement for serginho

i think we already have enough replacements for seedorf in the form of jankulovski and serginho and rui costa even... the only player i would get despite this is ballack

agree ... I also think that Ballack is one of the few players out there, who could actually add something to this already very strong midfield that we have.
Don't worry guys - Clarence will be back to his best. Now is still prep season and every player responds to the heavy trainings in his own way - some are hitting top form even now, others are a bit too tired during the games. When all is done and dusted, I am sure he will be one of our best midfielders, again.

IMO Seedorf plays well only when he sees that his place is threatened, IMO ancelotti should sometimes keep him on the bench. Vs Lugano he started and was crap while vs Juve he entered in the 2nd half and IMO did well.
Even last year his best performances where at March after spending 4 games on the bench because of Dhorasoo

Seerdorf will lose his place in the squad once Marek adapts to the Milan system.
