Kaká Renews Till 2010

MILAN - Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, Kaka, has extended his contract at the club until June 30, 2010 after meeting with chief executive Adriano Galliani, Ariedo Braida and Leonardo at the Milan headquarters on Via Turati. Kaka's father Bosco was also there and all the reaction will appear on the site during the day.

Im 99% sure he will end his career at Milan, the other 1% is for him to play a year or two at Sao Paolo when he's like 35 and then he'll come back to Milan to teach George Weah Junior

Kakŕ: 'My bond with Milan is even stronger. I have renewed until the end of 2010 but I hope to prolong it every year to finish my career at this club. I wanted to come to Milan straightaway. I arrived and it was confirmed by midday, I left at ten in the evening, there was just time to pack. I did this because I really wanted to join this club. I am starting to write history at Milan, I hope to improve, there have been a lot of great players who have written their own history here. It’s not just football at Milan but also the human aspect, friendship, a social-family. This is what I like about it.'

I hope he finish his career at Milan he's a great player and loyal to us.
Great news

what does anyone think about Ricky as our next Capitan? Say he just turned 23 so possible by the age of 25 he will be mature enough and seasoned enough to take on that Challenge? He will have been around Milan for a while by then, he will have played with Maldini who exemplify's (spelling) what it means to be a Milan Captain. Ricky has show the heart, he certainly lead by his play on the field, however I am still uncertain about his toughness and grit . . . does he have a mean streak that he can impose when he needs to in order to fire his team up? Maldini certainly did and still does, although you would never see it through his facial expression. What does anyone think about this, again I am not saying straight away but more so down the road. Unless Milan like to make Italians their team Capitains?

I don't know what it is, but this is not the first player that Milan have been able to say these things. And I feel it is sincere, not the usual "lets say something to make the fans like me more". It is at any rate a good move to tie him up for the future.

I can't see him captain at least till this contract expires, that is 2010. Because till that time players like Ambro, Sheva and Nesta are still playing and they are all infront of him in seniorality.

In italy there is the tendency to choose the most senior player as a captain.

N.B. Senior means the most player that play games for the club and not the age.

I was under the impression that Ambro was ahead of those two.

Kaka' could one day be the captain of Milan but to do so he would have to be here towards the end of his career and still playing at a top level.

I think now after Maldini there is Costacurta and after Costacurta there is Ambro. Only if they start the game with the first eleven.

yeah.. I was assuming if Maldini retired, obviously Billy would too.. But..

Anyways I think Sheva has a lot more appearances than Ambro.

Hope he is not thinking to retire at the age of 65 like normal workers do.

When I said after Maldini there is Costacurta I meant when Maldini is not playing or be substituted and not after he hangs on his football shoes.
