Milan vs Lecce (Game comments)

After the resounding victory in Istanbul, we can now shift our focus back to the scudetto chase.

Lecce, I believe, finally won a match last week, and will be looking to improve on that in the San Siro.

Milan only need to remain consistent, and after Simic´s stellar performance vs Fener, I look forward to seeing him in the starting line up, with Stam in the middle, giving San Paolo some much needed rest.

No predictions from me, but I think we should win this one, and start another good run of domestic form

Comments anyone?

if it is on saturdai'll be able to see it live on tv. nice..... if cafu is still injured we should once again use simic as a RB, rsting Maldini for Schalke game....it could look like this...

................dida...................
simic...nesta....stam...serginho...
..........vogel...........
....gattuso.....jankulovsky...
...........rui..........
.....sheva....pippo

we can rest Paolo, Seedorf, Cafu, Pirlo for next CL match, and we should still win against Lecce. Serginho needs to ne in, becouse if we start with kaladte and simic we will not be dangerous on the flanks.

lecce game should be in the bag, why play it? lol. no really, this game doesn't look like a trap game, and since we're playing in the san siro, it should be a blowout!!

hi guys! against lecce we must win of course! so is every serie a match for us, a 100% must win.....

my line up:

Didia
Simic-Nesta-Stam-Kaladze
Seedorf-Vogel-Jankulovski
Rui Costa
Shevchenko(Captain)-Inzaghi

Maldiin, Kaka, Gattuso and Pirlo should be rested for our difficult matches against schalke and merda inter!! and i hope simic plays, because against fenerbahce he was one of our best, and in the CL-season 2002/03 he played 16 matches of 17!!!!

I agree with most that we shouldnt have to field our strongest team vs Lecce, but we have to be careful to not allow them to benefit from us fielding players who do not have the chemistry and "mental telepathy" that the regular starters have developed.

There are no easy games in the Serie A, and as last season showed us, there are no "must wins" because the team we are up against is at the bottom of the table, or has lost 5 straight games.

I think that Pippo and Gila could start this game, with Sheva on the bench, and Vieri in the stands (where he should always sit unless one of the three aformentioned strikers is injured).

Vogel, Marek and Pirlo should start in the middle for me, with Rui behind the forwards indicated above.

The defense: Simic, Nesta Stam and Kaladze as Bosniaco has said, with Serghino coming on late in the game, depending on the score. (ie if it is tied, then bring him on, if we are ahead, rest him for the midweek fixture).

We cannot take Lecce lightly, and still need to field a strong team, while allowing our "starters" such as Clarence, Kaka, San Paolo and Sheva some much needed rest...

Depending on the outcome of the game, I would opt to rest Nesta as well, but this begs the question as to who to replace him.. Billy? No, I doubt he will see the pitch for the remainder of this season...further highlighting our defensive insufficiencies.

MILAN-LECCE: 18-MAN SQUAD
11/25/2005
GOALKEEPERS: Dida-Kalac

DEFENDERS: Costacurta-Maldini-Nesta-Jankulovski-Simic-Stam

MIDFIELDERS: Gattuso-Pirlo-Rui Costa-Seedorf-Serginho-Vogel

STRIKERS: Gilardino-Inzaghi-Shevchenko-Vieri

So they have Janku lining up as a defender...hmmm, maybe we will see Serghino start in the middle then?

Anyway....FORZA MIIIIIIIIILAN!
