Milan - Fiorentina

This game in on saturday, so we can prepare for CL. CAfu says he feels good, and could be ready for this game. We can try him for 45 min or at least 30min in teh second half. my formation for this one...........
.............................dida........................
..stam.......nesta.......kaladze.......jankulovski...
..........................pirlo.................
...........gattuso..............seedorf........
........................kaka'.....................
................sheva.........gila/pippo

Fiorentina is a strong side, we need to be 100% to win it, so we cant rest too mayn players. Serginho looked tired in the last match, maybe he can be rested and Marek can play. If we are up Vogel or Ambrosini can replace Pirlo, and maybe Rui for KAka'. Its important for Cafu to play if he feels fine.

i feel that ucl is more important than calcio at this time.
so rest sheva,pirlo, and kaka and use them later like he did before. cuz we seem to play better in the 2nd for some reson. lyon are very very strong its gona be ten times more hard than byran. so rest sheva is more important than anything.
i think we will start like this:

dida
cafu billy kaladze marek
ambro
gatuso vogel
rui
gila pippo

and the subing
Ambro=Pilro
Rui=Kaka
Pippo=Sheva (cuz i think were playing pippo)

i think stam will be needed more vs lyon cuz we need to defend in thier ground.

if we win this one and roma loses (or draws) again, then probably we can (and should too) start focusing on the CL completely. I mean completely (well, except the head-to-head collision with Inter which is morale-crucial). because so long as we can secure a top 4 berth, we will be safe. it would be ridiculous if we can't pass the 'extra' qualifying round, fatigue from WC or not.

ambro-gattuso-vogel cant function well, there is no creativity in there. At least one of the seedorf-pirlo needs to be in.

That match shall be a fairly easy one, I guess we really can, as Xudong already said, start to focus on CL only.

And Fiorentina has an extra match on Wednesday away to Cagliari. So, Fiore won't be well rested for Milan. I believe resting 2-3 important players is a "must do" for Milan ! Milan can beat Fiorentina even without some of the starters.
The match against Cagliari is by far more important to Fiore. Because that's by far a better chance to get the 3 points and leave Roma 4 points behind.
The match against Milan is no place for Fiorentina to look for points !

Also, Fiorentina is , together with Milan, my favourite club, and i'll be neutral on this match !
Sorry guys

yep, it is a big plus that fiorentina has to play midweek, they will be 'extra' tired. if they have a few yellows or reds, probably there will be a few 'extra' bans.

even without that, we should beat fiorentina, if not trashing them.

Agree with those saying we need to rest some key players for this one. Sheva, Kaka, Pirlo and Seedorf could probably benefit from a rest and get in only if we need to turn things around. We shold be able to beat La Viola even without some of our regular starters.
We must not forget, however, that there is a big dif between finishing 2nd and finishing 3rd or 4th - those Cl qualifiers can really mess up a team's prep carriculum and they would mean less rest for our players. With this being also a WC year, if we need to play those CL qualifiers, we will be missing most of our internationals, who would have to get extra rest because of the WC.

Rests should be given to: Sheva, Seedorf, Kaka, Pirlo. We should either play Marek or Serginho in midfield because a Gattuso, Vogel, Ambro midfield will just not work. Rui Costa should play the 90 minutes in the game. Pippo/Gila, whoever is in better form should be subbed off for Amoroso or even Sheva at half time IMO. Pippo is more deadly when he's had a rest. Kaka was very tired vs Udinese, he is definitely getting a rest. Seedorf did make a statement saying that he got a tough knock on his leg, so he'll need to rest the next game to be prepared for Lyon.

Anything new on Maldini and Cafu?

I beg to differ. Vogel is a very good distributor of the ball. He has set up some really nice balls for the forwards.

Very few starters will start in the game because it is important that not everyone plays in this game! This time is not Empoli but Fiorentina so it will be difficult without all the players but we might see Cafu or Maldini to maybe play!
