Il Milan offre all'Altletico Madrid 25 milioni di euro più 18 di un vecchio credito per il centravanti spagnolo Fernando Torres e l'esterno argentino Maxi Rodriguez. Nell'operazione potrebbero rientrare Ambrosini e Dida.

no way.

WHy would A. Madrid even consider this transfer. Considering, they could easily get 50M for Maxi Rodriguez and Torres after the World Cup.

say it is true and it is accepted, where would Maxi play ?

Could he take Seedorf's role or maybe we'd switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation with Pirlo & Gattuso in the middle, Kaka Torres & Maxi as the 3 and then Gilardino up front. That 3 of Torres, Kaka & Maxi would be incredibly flexible, all of them could swap positions easily.

Seedorf will be a mainstay in this team. Galliani rewarded him with the #10 jersey due in large part to his loyalty to the team and the way he plays the game. Seedorf is the engine that makes us go so let's not discard him because new names are being pronounced. Last yr was the same thing with Jankulovski, whom i still think is a good player. Let's get torres and maxi first, and then let ancelotti decide where they will play. For a good coach (unlike mancini of Inter), it's a good headache to have to choose amongst top players.

Actually, as posted above and on calciomercato (a quote from Corierre DS), the offer is 25 mil + 18 mil that Atletico allegedly owe Milan + a possible involvement of Dida and Ambro as makeweight in the deal - this is easily an offer of over 50 mil.
Considering that "only" about 35 mil (25+ambro and Dida) in cash will make it out of Milan - I have lost trust in loans being ever repaid in cash - it would be a pretty good deal for us as maxi's price alone after the WC is easily 15 mil euros. That would leave Torres cost us an amount we could afford to risk for even if he doesn't make it in Serie A, we could easily make up for most of the 20 mil euros by selling him to Real or Barca.

you beat me too it Zlat

The 18 million euro figure had me puzzled for a little bit, but yes it is apparently what Atletico owe us.

This could turn out to be a significant deal especially if Dida is thrown in, this will surely mean we will get a new keeper unless we go with Abbiati.

How can we ever evlove as a team if we always stick with players who have sub-par performances/seasons for us ?

ive been wondering for ages about the money they owed us, and i have to agree with zlatanov it could be a good deal. If dida doesnt want to extend, then we should try and trade him off. Abbiati did quite well at Juve, if not Buffon......

i read this on tribal-

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has declared new signing Yoann Gourcuff is good enough to be a regular next season.
The France U21 international signed for Milan last week from Rennes and Berlusconi said: "Gourcuff is a boy prodigy.

"I have an idea for next season: he could play behind the forwards with Kaka, taking advantage of their individual qualities."

----
maybe they are changing to a 4-2-3-1 formation, Gourcuff and Foggia can both play behind Gila with Kaka

Didnt Ancelotti say that he's sticking with 2 forwards and four defenders?

Hmmm... This is really intriguing. Maybe Carlo is thinking about an offensive midfield with Pirlo/Maxi/Seedorf/Kaká. In this case, the RB and LB will be more defenders and rarely will support attack.
