Who is the next captain?

After sheva leaves there's a question who is the next captain after maldini.
I think gatuso cant be milan captain
What do you think?

I would chose Ambro, unfortunately, he always injured. I'm a bit meh on Gattuso, because I heard he throws his captain band in one match. Pirlo is a genius on the midfield, but I don't think he can organise the midefield as well as say.... Albertini. Nesta might be too new to become a Milan captain.

I prefer Kaladze. He did good in the games where Sheva handed him the captain band. So I think he can continue. And Nesta or even Gila, let's train him young, can became the VC. Others, I like the notion of Pippo as a captain too.

you must be out of your mind when you say gatusso can't be captain. he is the best choice after maldini. A player who played with his heart and soul for the team.

Let's add another question...besides the next captain, who do you think will be the next Maldini in a sense that they'll go all the way at Milan?

I agree that he plays with his heart and soul, and that's why he's one of my favorite players, but he has too short of a fuse to be captain. The role of a captain is not only to be leader of the team, but to also calm down teammates when they get angry. You really think Rino can handle that. I once saw San Paolo telling Rino to shut up after he got carried away in a match last season, since then I don't think Gattuso is capable of being captain.

I hope it will be Nesta, and I want him to be captain, but he has said he wants to return to Lazio at the end of his career. If not Nesta then maybe Pirlo.

hmmm why not kaka ... hes quality keeps calm and so on ... i dont see kaka as too much of a problem if not kaka then hmmm maybe Gattuso or Pirlo

Captain is supposed to lead. Lead by examples on pitch and frankly speaking there is no one other than Seedorf to replace capitano.

Sheva was the closest one. Rino is way too emotional. Kaladze & Pirlo live in their own dream world. Gila & Kaka are still boys. Pippo is over-reactive. Cafu is very experienced but cannot present an example (too old). Nesta? after Seedorf maybe.

I think Nesta should be our next captain. I'd chose him before Gattuso or Pirlo.

I would choose Pirlo and Nesta, the first was the "leader" in Italy's game and Nesta, an excellent player and mature personality.

I agree with you lilhippy , I really think that Kaka and Gila are good enough to be the captain of the Rossoneri , they may be young , but they are talent , we can take an example , Steven Gerrard , he is the captain of Liverpool , even though he is young too .I still remember the moment that he scored in 2004/2005 UEFA CL final match , and then they won .
That's why Kaka' ( or Gila) can be the captain !

Too emotional? Must mean he cares about the team....



This thread topic must be one of the most popular ones...we've had this same thing pop up about 10 times in the past year or so.

Gilardino definitely isn't good enough to lead Milan... actually he never will be good enough to lead Milan...
