AC Milan has made a shock approach to Inter for striker Adriano.

Il Giornale says Milan turned to Adriano after seeing a move for Internacional de Porto Alegre striker Rafael Sobis fall over last week.

Adriano counts on Kaka, Dida and Cafu as good friends and Milan directors were confident he wouldn't have a negative impact on the dressing room.

But Milan chief Ariedo Braida's enquiry was met by a flat rejection from Inter patron Massimo Moratti, which saw them turn to Real Madrid striker Ronaldo over the weekend.

Barcelona isn't going to sell Eto'o. Why do so many of you waste your time bringing up his name?

Tevez I will agree with. Torres has not convinced me. He's still very rough. Unpolished. I would much rather have Adriano than Torres.

umm I'll take Torres before Adriano for the same price. I hate one legged strikers.. God gave you two feet.. use both.

Well, Adriano scored 26 goals in 34 games for Inter last year. Ten in the Champions League (so he can hardly be accused of not scoring when it counts). Torres had 13 goals in 35 games. So I figure Adriano's right foot is more valuable at this point than both of Torres' combined.

I am not sure those figures for Adriano are correct - last year Sheva became the CL goalscorer with 9 goals, I believe, so no way Adriano could have scored 10 ... maybe the year before last?

Oops. You're right. He only scored six last year. It was 10 the season before. Still not a bad goalscoring record in the CL though. Sixteen in 19 games.

Adriano is maybe the best open option we got, Tevez is great but not proved in Calcio, Adriano may not be the best but he is proven that he is among the best,

2002 Fiorentina 15 app. 6 goals
2003 Parma 28 app. 15 goals
2004 Inter 23 app. 19 goals/ 9 goals with Parma before coming to Inter
2005 Inter 34 app. 26 goals
2006 Inter 27 app. 19 goals

Lets not forget that he is still 25 years old.And he played for crapy teams as fiorentina at the time was terrible, they were relegated that season, Dont forget that we have the brazilin mentality and not th argentinian as Inter has. So I`m sure that we the help of Kaka, cafu and Dida he will improve a lot, if he comes at milan.

According to both ESPN Soccernet and the official Inter Milan website, Adriano had six goals in 10 matches last year and 10 goals in nine matches the year before. Apparently futbal.org is the one who is wrong.

I know what your doing now your including Qualifying rounds, he does not score in big games. Anyway its 16goals in 25games overall in europe

Huh? Even your way he's still scoring goals in games that matter. It's just less goals in less games. Besides, in qualifying you have to win to advance. That makes it a pretty damned big game. To say someone who has scored 16 goals in 19 Champions League games, regardless of which stage, is patently absurd! Think!

And no, it's not 16 goals in 25 games. It's 16 goals in 19 games. That's what both sources have. And even if it were 25 games -- which it's not -- it would still be pretty good.
